"This is the second time we have stayed here in PCB. The rooms are relatively clean for a beach resort. Check-in was not a great experience.
We arrived and hour and a half early, and I completed the pre-check in. The front desk staff let me know that they would call when the room was ready. No problem, as we were going to run to a grocery store. I had not received a call after we finished shopping, so we returned to the hotel and I asked if they had a time estimate. They did not, and they were not apologetic or nice about it. They said they were waiting for an updated list from housekeeping on rooms that were ready. We ended up not being called until 4:45.
When we got back to complete check in and get our keycards, there was a long line of people waiting to check in. The front desk staff was again not friendly. No one apologized for our wait. No one smiled. I was not angry or upset even if other customers were. I was patient and kind. It's so disappointing to not be treated as a valued guest.
Everything else was fine. The housekeeping staff was nice!"
