At first glance, the lovely red cabin appears relatively unassuming. But what awaits you on the back porch and beyond is an other-worldly, immersion into nature with a vantage point like no other.

Upon entering the rustic, spacious cabin, you are met with an open floor plan that features a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table seating 6 and a super comfy living room. This space is perfect for preparing and enjoying a home-cooked meal, hanging out, playing games, or lounging.

Enjoy cooking with all new appliances in the kitchen, or take the meal prep outside and make your favorite meal on the propane gas grill. While you’re at the preparation and creation, you won’t want to let your inner barista go unfulfilled. Be sure to take advantage of the fully stocked coffee station.

Though you’re surely going to want to spend most of your time outdoors, particularly on the spectacular back deck, the living room complete with a fold out couch that invites you to grab a throw blanket and make yourself comfortable. Curl up and get some Netflix going (or binge your favorite shows or movies on any of the popular streaming options) on the Smart TV. Or turn off the electronics and have some old-school fun playing one of the many classic board games provided, from Pictionary to Sorry, to playing cards and more.

If you’ve traveled to this remote location to get some work done, this incredible locale will undoubtedly inspire your passion, creativity and productivity. Feel free to make any spot in the house your makeshift office, but the table by the window is where you’ll really be set up for success. Or retire to ultimate relaxation and seclusion in the primary bedroom where you’ll drift off into the dreamiest, restful sleep in an ultra-comfortable, lavish queen bed and enjoy the privacy of the en-suite bathroom.

For the best features of this home, you’ll want to exit through the French doors bringing you out onto the covered back porch and face-to-face with nature’s glory. Marvel at the lush greenery for miles around, encompassing the canyon immediately before you, and all the way down to the Little Red River running below. Head out in the early morning, wrapping yourself up with a cozy blanket and sit on the porch to enjoy your morning coffee or hot tea. Take a sip and prepare to witness the magnificent spectacle of the rising sun as vibrant pink and orange light begins to wash over the horizon so dramatically and vividly that you’ll feel like you could simply reach out and touch the beauty.

Many mornings you will wake to the surreal scene of a thick white canopy over the canyon BELOW you. When the conditions are right, the fog rises from the valley below to envelope the cabin with mist, giving the illusion and sensation that you are floating in the clouds. When the clouds of mist break and you’re once again left with views of the densely forested canyon and river below, you may get lucky enough to behold the impressive sight of birds soaring by, zooming and playing as they catch and ride the wind drifts that blow through the valley. From your choice of comfortable outdoor seating (two rocking chairs or a double glider) you can sit in pure tranquility enjoying this most magical panorama. If you are up for a brief but slightly strenuous hike--outfitting yourself with the proper footwear and utilizing a walking stick--you can take the rocky path and journey carefully down to a stone bluff that provides breathtaking 360-degree views of the canyon. This is where you’ll experience serenity like never before. At this bluff, you’ll find a wooden bench to serve as your perch to observe the notable sights and sounds and truly become one with nature. If you practice meditation, this is your place to find Zen. Embrace the stillness at this spot, breathe in the clean, crisp air and close your eyes, allowing yourself to be carried away by the sounds of wind rustling leaves, the river rapids flowing far below and the birds chattering and singing in the trees all around you—you are guaranteed to be transported. This bench is also the prime spot to watch the majestic sunrises from an unencumbered viewpoint that feels like you’re hovering over the canyon. Be sure to pack in a picnic complete with a thermos full of your favorite warm beverage to accompany the view, making for a meal and drink you won’t soon forget.

While manageable, the hike back up to the cabin is a steep but satisfying one as you return to your secluded sanctuary after the enchanting adventure you’ve just endured.

The epitome of an isolation vacation, you’ll be packing it in as the nearest conveniences (shopping and otherwise) are anywhere from 15-30 minutes away. But you don’t have to venture terribly far to enjoy recreational activities like canoeing, boating and skiing at Greers Ferry Lake, fishing, hiking, the Sugarloaf Mountain nature trails, more than 100 miles of ATV trails that meander through the Ozarks, or even floating the river.
