There are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities in the area with specific paths and quiet lanes to follow. There is plenty to see and do in the area, including visits to Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, the Long Mynd and the South Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. These provide opportunities for hill walking, mountain biking and a range of other outdoor activities.
Shrewsbury is full of finds to be discovered by foot or by boat; the River Severn is a must, as is the café culture, farmer’s market, the castle, and the churches that dominate Shrewsbury’s famous skyline, only a 10-minute drive away. Further afield takes you to the medieval market town of Ludlow, famous for its castle as well as many food and drink festivals throughout the year to enjoy.
