2. LA COSTARELLA - very central with unique terrace

"Great location and great views. But be aware the AC isn’t in the bedroom, just upstairs in the living area. Also, the shower would not drain. So we had to take super fast showers as to not flood the bathroom, which was less than ideal. My husband waited about half an hour after mine and it had mostly drained. But after his shower, it didn’t drain overnight into the next morning when we left. Hopefully it gets fixed!"

"We had trouble finding it and did not have a phone number to use to find it. Someone finally responded to the web inquiry and met us and let us in. Then when we used out key it wouldn't work. They sent someone and their key didn't work either. Then they figured out how to get us in, and it was good from there. The place was OK but you did have to climb a spiral metal stair to the bed / Loft. You had to go up and down to use the bathroom and that was not convenient especially at night. "

"After climbing the 74 stairs (we had already been stair-training in Amalfi and Vieste..!), we were charmed by the apartment; clean, comfortable, well-appointed, but the terrace sealed the deal! Having coffee in the morning, watching the fog lift over the valley, then closing the day with a nightcap and the company of the full moon over the church created a dream state in which we enjoyed our days in Siena. "Lovely hotel inside the city walls, if you are driving there and want to take advantage of the hotel car park (availability not guaranteed) you have to follow quite specific instructions to get there so as not to get a fine, they are quite easy to follow though. Dogs accepted and they provided dog beds and water for the dogs which was nice, the dogs are also allowed throughout the hotel. The views from the bedroom were amazing, as is the same from the lovely garden & terrace. Breakfast was great, lovely bread and the best marmalade ever, as well as cake, eggs, etc. bar is just open from 5pm but you can get a drink earlier if it takes your fancy"

Well located on the edge of the old town, less than 10 minutes walk to the centre. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and hope to come back myself."
