Great stay in Siesta Key!

Our vacation was unfortunately spoiled by Hurricane Debby but we can’t complain much about the house! Great location (5 min walk or 2 min drive) to the beach, right around the corner from SKOB and other restaurants/bars/cafes, and 12 minutes from grocery store (Publix). Few amenities would've been nice to have in the house (hairdryer, laundry detergent) but the house was otherwise in great condition and easily fit our families. Owner/management was very easy to communicate with and very attentive to our needs. We would definitely stay here again during our next stay in Siesta Key!

Beautiful Vacation Home in a Great Location

My husband and I stayed at Casa Van Lopik with 2 other couples and had an amazing time. The house and accommodations were perfect and in such a great location. It was a quick walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and bars... no car needed! The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. Daniel and crew were great to work with and extremely accommodating. We can't wait to go back!

Parked the rental car upon arrival in the driveway, didn’t get back into it till leaving for airport. Enough said……. Ideal location, great space and steps to everything Siesta Key!

Parking in garbage- uncomfortable beds

Don't park in garage- we had appointment and late because neighbors parked blocking us in. Beds were very uncomfortable. Couch sleeping was better 😭. A positive note~The space was clean and decorated nicely.

A little getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I had a few days to relax after several months of 70+ hour work weeks and him recovering from back surgery. We chose Siesta Key as the place to do that. Casa Van Lopik was my pick from the pictures and reviews. When we arrived we realized that you have to go up a steep flight of stairs to reach the main floor and that wasn't reflected in the pictures or description, a few reviews did mention steep stairs but it seemed to be to bedrooms. I reached out to Dan and he immediately found us a new option. He was very accommodating and patient with us as we made the transition. He is most definitely the Host with the Most!!

Great location but are things that need addressing

First, if you're expecting this to be a house you're renting...it is not. And with that said, the parking is very minimal, as it it shared with other units. The rental is pretty much exactly as pictured, but for the price, the threadbare towels and sheets need to be replaced. The carpet has definitely seen better days, but I get it....it's a rental. And a beach one at that. There was also no DVD player and the television is more complicated to work than it's worth. The sleeping quarters are ample and the surrounding business establishments are what make this location so great! The free taxi is such a huge bonus as well. I would have been completely satisfied had there been a little more attention to the little things, that would add just a touch of luxury without much effort, and made me feel as though the cost per night was worthy.

Excellent location and comfortable accomodations

Our family of eight was very comfortable in this house. There are three bedrooms with two baths, comfortable living area, decent kitchen, nice porch, lovely shared backyard with lots seating (shared with attached property in same duplex type situation). But by far, the best detail about this house is it's close proximity to the beach (closest is Beach Access 7) and Siesta Key Village. Within a five minute walk in either direction, you will arrive at the beach which is lovely with white, sugar-fine sand or the fun, quaint village with shops, restaurants, etc. A couple of bonus details - 1) There were plenty of towels in the house. More than enough to use within the house for showers etc, and even more to take with you to the beach. 2) The owner was so kind and within 24 hours of check-out, he sent an email notifying us that we were to do nothing before we checked out except to enjoy our last 24 hours in Siesta Key. This is extremely unusual when staying in a VRBO. Often there are specific requests to take care of, but not here. So kind and truly appreciated. 3) There is a nice supermarket in the village, but it can be a bit pricey compared to bigger, more national chain supermarkets further away. However, it is convenient. Only one minor, minor complaint - The property did not have any beach gear like umbrellas, chairs, sand toys, etc. However, we rented items with no problem so I share this as a heads up to plan for. :) Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would stay here again.

This is a DUPLEX not a house

This property has a GREAT location and an awesome host! My only complaint with this is how misleading it is. When I booked the property, I was under the assumption that it was a house but after a little digging online, I realized it was a duplex. It wasn’t stated ANYWHERE on the listing that it’s a duplex. I even met the other people renting and they were saying the exact same thing.

Girls weekend

We had a group of 8 girls stay here for my sister’s bachelorette trip! The house was exactly what was in the pictures. The location was perfect. We had a short walk to the beach and downtown. The kitchen was not as stocked as we had anticipated, but overall great stay.

We stayed here for our daughter's birthday with some of her friends and it was a great experience for them. We had a great location of being able to walk to the beach and to Siesta Key Village. We did have a suggestion to replace the king-size mattress in the room we slept in as it was not comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and great for our needs. Thank you!

A Wonderful Place

Everything from check in to check out was top notch! We enjoyed our stay and would book this place again. The short walk to the beach with all the beach gear you need, made our trip so easy. The market, bars and restaurants are all a very short walk away. The location was perfect.

Awesome friends vacation

The property managers picked up the phone and were helpful when we called, the house was clean and beautiful with a nice deck and outdoor patio, and it had everything we needed for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, paddle boards, etc). I also liked how they supplied the soap and toilet paper and such. The house was also a short walk to both the downtown area and the beach, a perfect location. Overall a perfect wonderful experience and I would recommend to anybody looking for a vacation house in Siesta Key!

Great Location

The house was great please note it's a lot of stairs and if you have elderly with you it'll be a little tough! It was so close to everything we walked everywhere the beach is beautiful! Thanks for a great stay hope to be back!

We were very happy with our stay at Gertrude Rentals and would book with them again. More outstanding then the rental itself, is the service we received. Dan always messaged back in just a few minutes and he arranged to have a pack and play there when we checked in so we didn't have to bring our own. A couple days later I asked if he would have a bike trailer for our toddler and he arranged to have one dropped off just a few hours later, free of charge! Service was outstanding. Thanks for the good time!
