Überwältigender Ausblick auf den Ozean

Wir waren Ende Oktober in der Unterkunft in Porto Covo. Leider war das Wetter in der ersten Woche sehr durchwachsen. Der Sturm führte zu unangenehmen Gerüchen im Haus, die auch nicht vollständig beseitigt werden konnten. Das Haus ist wunderbar gelegen, der Garten urig und sehr schön angelegt. Bei dem veranschlagten Mietpreis hätten wir allerdings vor allem in den Bädern eine funktionierende Einrichtung erwartet. Ebenso waren die Böden bei unserer Ankunft nicht überall sauber. Die Küche ist allerdings sehr gut mit Geschirr und Küchenutensilien ausgestattet. Eine modernere Beleuchtung im Haus könnte an Regentagen für etwas mehr Wohlbehagen sorgen. Fazit: Wunderschön gelegenes Haus, der Preis ist allerdings zu hoch für den derzeitigen Zustand des Hauses.

Location is PERFECT!

My family was in Porto Covo for a wedding and our first time in Portugal. Sara's house on the Atlantic was outstanding. The location could not be better. It was walking distance to the town, the beach and the beautiful cove was right next door. There is also a walking trail right outside the garden gate. The home gave us a real authentic Portugal experience. Sara was very prompt on every inquiry. It is not luxurious, but well appointed with all you need. It is the perfect family vacation home. I hope to return some day. Five stars!

We recommend

We really liked the house and it`s surroundings. Just below the house there is a path wich leads to the supermarket and from there just a few minutes to the pedestian street with many restaurants. We had some problem with the gasstove and in half an hour we got help from John.

Haus am Meer

Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll und historisch. Leider sind Mobiliar, Küche und Bäder sowie Haushaltsutensilien schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die neuen Fenster haben schon viel gebracht, aber jemand müsste mal kleine Reparaturen an verschiedenen Stellen ausführen und auch der Austausch von zwei kaputten Sonnenliegen wäre bei dem Preis angemessen.

Peaceful Porto Covo

This was our last stop on our Portugal stay and it was wonderful. The property is super quaint and well maintained with back garden and front that opens to sprawling yard that overlooks the sea. Sara the host was very responsive and the place was clean and beds comfortable. My favorite was the little fireplace and glass doors that open to the yard and the view and the little gate to the beach path!

Paisagem fabulosa e com mto bom gosto

Foi excelente toda a vida porporcionada na zona exterior. A grande extensão do relvado e a paisavem com o som do mar logo ali mesmo perto... é fabuloso ! De realçar o por do sol e o anoitecer com o som dos grilos. Desejamos todos voltar a este sitio paradisiaco, aconselhando amigos e familia.

Ruhe,Erholung und spektakuläre Buchten

Fantastischer Kontakt mit der Vermieterin Sara erleichterte zu vielen Gelegenheiten den Ablauf.So gelang alles perfekt und wir-Familie mit 6 Personen inklusive 2Kleinkinder-hatten einen herrlichen Urlaub.Der freieBlick ueber das Meer,die windgeschützte Ecke hinter dem Haus waren toll und bei Fragen war Jose immer da.Das rustikale Haus hat viel Platz, die Küche ist voll ausgerüstet, die Dorfmitte in 200 m erreicht.Danke für diesen Aufenthalt!

Porto Covo cliffs

Lovely, comfortable and well stocked house. Beautiful view with some grocery stores and restaurants close by. Beaches are rugged and breathtaking. Easy access to the house and easy parking. We were there for a short and chilly April stay ; the summer would be terrific.

Perfect house directly on a wild, beautiful, unspoilt stretch of coast line!

My family and I stayed here for three nights, it was a spacious, clean and comfortable house with incredible sea views. There was a large log fire to keep us warm in the evenings but for us the most special part was being able to walk down the garden right on to the beautiful coastal path.

Dias tranquilos em família

A casa tem uma excelente localização e um espaço exterior com uma vista deslumbrante. O espaço interior é funcional . Lamentamos a falta de uma máquina de lavar roupa e o mau funcionamento da máquina de lavar louça. Sendo uma casa para famílias parece-nos essencial. Charming oceanfront house

The owners specifications were correct. Deviating to the pictures we only realized that some furnitures were repositioned and one of the yellow sofas were replaced by a modern new (darker) one. The living room is homley and rustic furnished. There are a lot of candles avaílable to nestle in the evening. From the dinette you have have perfect ocean view. The garden is well-kept and you will find many seatings to chill and lounge in the sun. We were well cared by the gardener Jose. He keeps Saras and other houses in view. If you have any requests or you need help, Jose and Sara will support directly. The kitchen is small, simple, the sink/drain smells mouldy and getting a bit long in the tooth but it´s really well equipped. All kitchen equipments are working perfect.We only missed the old-fashioned „Caffettiera“ due to not prefering to use capsular coffee machine. All sleeping rooms have built-in wardrobes and offers sufficient storage room. We used the master bedroom, here in our sense (only subjective) the mattress is hard. The two bathrooms have no plug sockets, are simple furnitured and showing bald spots. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the stay at the house and could recommend the rustic house but you need to know that the kitchen is really „rustic“ or characterise as old. We are not nit-picked and have seen a lot due to experiances in house and apartment rentals more then 15 years – 3 times a year.
