"Nice, clean, older family home, that made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked in. Beds are comfortable with a perfect setup for 2 families. This home had most everything we needed, with our 2 young grandchildren and their mom. The area was very quiet and we felt very safe. The outdoor pool close by was a hit with the kids, since the indoor pool was temporarily closed. We would love to return in the summer!"

"The room was very large with log cabin features that were sisters appropriate for her sisters nice touches of having a coffee maker with coffee Keurig and a refrigerator. I didn’t use but happy to have. I only stayed one night but you know for the price I think it was great maybe just the carpet was a little worn and there were dings in the wall but if that’s not a big deal to you then know it was a great day and I was happy to be there. "

"I accidentally booked my stay 1 day off, I immediately reached out to Hotels.com they said it would be up to the property they could not change my reservation. After a couple days I reached out to them again and they sent an email saying they were very sorry but after several attempts the property would not return an email. I reached out to the property and shared the email I had from Hotels.com it turns out Hotels.com had not sent any emails to the property the staff at Ponderosa were very kind and told me this is not the first time this has happened they comped my room for the additional day I needed. I highly recommend this property but please do not book through Hotels.com just call the property or better yet use another app to make your bookings."

"We had a wonderful 6 nights stay at the Black Bear Lodge with our family. The house is just beautiful and so cozy. It has absolutely everything you need for cooking in and enjoying a relaxing vacation. We all enjoyed feeding the squirrels and watching them at the feeders.The kids were in pure delight in their bunk room. It is awesome! Steve is a great host and quick to respond to questions. Thank you for sharing your home. We can’t wait to stay again. "
