Home was only OK, but the location was excellent for our needs.

We loved the area and the location of the home. It was very close to the GM Rec Center, a large pool complex with dressing rooms and a wonderful gift shop and bike rentals. Also close by was a very nice playground, tennis courts and pickleball courts! We could walk there and back which was super convenient for all of us!

Great spot!

The house is in a fabulous location right next to the glaze meadow facilities! The house itself was big with plenty of room for far more than we had so ended up just using the upstairs essentially. Well appointed with actual kitchen wares which you don’t always get. There was lots of kid stuff as well which made everything easier. There were a number of serviceable bikes in the garage - also it’s right next to the rental spot so easy to pick a bike or trailer up at glaze meadow.

Family Get Away

We have stayed in numerous Black Butte homes. This one was the best for location hands down. Easy entry via McAlister Rd. or the main entrance. Walking distance to the pool, equipment rentals, tennis and pickle ball courts. Great separation of space giving adults and kids places to hang out together…or not. The only issue we had was figuring out the TV. But with so many things to do close to the home, it wasn’t an issue. We will be back!

Wonderful house - room for improvement for Summer guests

The house was great! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking your own meals. It was nice to have the option to do laundry, even though we didn’t use it. There’s a bathroom on each floor and lots of beds. The two big areas for improvement are temperature and light. During our stay, there was a 15 degree difference between the upstairs and downstairs. To really cool the upstairs would mean freezing out the downstairs, which really doesn’t work well when kids are sleeping downstairs. I imagine this is less of an issue in the cooler months. The other thing we noticed is that while there are a couple rooms with black out shades, they don’t fit the windows so they are effective. The other rooms are going to be very light during the day even with the blinds closed. It’s not conducive to kid naps or bedtimes before 9 PM. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. I’d stay there again!

Wonderful home, great location

We had a great time at this house in late June / early July 2024. There were four adults, three kids, and a dog, and the house was perfectly sized for us. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms easily accommodated everyone, and despite what another review says, the temperature was totally fine, even on 90+ degree days. It’s also nice having a large deck with a table big enough to accommodate everyone for outdoor dining in the summer. The location is exceptional—walking distance to Glaze Meadow pool, playground, pickleball, and tennis, and easy access to the sixth fairway of the GM golf course for the kids and dogs after dinner. The house is also on a quiet street, so the kids could easily go out scooting and biking with minimal supervision. As indicated in the listing, the bedrooms have queen and twin beds, not kings, and the mattress in one of them is quite soft. The kitchen has most of what you need to cook, but could use another serving bowl or two. There is also very little food storage (eg, Tupperware) for leftovers. The internet is great, but we had trouble with the smart TV; luckily, we packed a Roku stick for backup that worked fine. Also, the washing machine was broken, which isn’t tenable for a weeklong trip with kids, but the property manager quickly engineered a solution, obtaining a replacement within about 36 hours. Thank you! Finally, the house has several bikes available for use in the garage but no helmets, so you’ll need to rent those if you want them.

Great 4th of July visit

Home was inviting, and everything advertised was as is should be. Lots of extra towels, bedding and blankets. Excellent Location! Easy walk to the pool, courts, park. Lots of parking and wonderful wrap around deck!

Close to Glaze Meadows

The house is clean and the beds comfy. It is a short walk to Glaze Meadows. The kitchen & living room are upstairs, which wasn't my favorite. The air conditioning was nice, but there is certainly a temperature difference between the two floors.
