    The Space:

    Designed by an award-winning architect for his personal space, this beautiful home in the woods boasts a number of unique design features that make it feel like you're outdoors while relaxing indoors. Enjoy forest views from almost every room, prepare meals in your full kitchen, dine at the table, and then come together to watch shows or movies on the TV in the open living area. Outside, you'll find furnished decks, a gas grill, and an upper-level deck. This is an amazing home, perfect for the family or travel group seeking a classy, peaceful experience at Black Butte.



    Black Butte Ranch offers 1,800 acres to explore, including over 18 miles of hiking and biking trails. You will have access to shared pools and hot tubs on the resort, including the South Meadow Pool located less than a mile away. Experience the two championship golf courses, play on the tennis courts, and do a little horseback riding. For shopping and additional activities, visit the charming town of Sisters just nine miles east. And when the snow is falling, the Hoodoo Ski Area is only 15 miles west.

This home is located in a wonderful location all the windows look out to the forest. It is secluded yet close to everything in the wonderful black Butte community so many amenities perfect for a family or for those that just want some peace and quiet.

Comfortable beds, beautiful scenery - the pool wasn’t open yet. We liked the bike trails and the golf putting course. The TV could have been a little more user friendly, Other than that it was great!

We LOVED this house. We travel 100 days a year, and this house is in our top 5 favorite rentals ever. Why? Clean. Spacious. Windows. So many windows we felt like we were waking up in a treehouse! Outdoor spaces - so many places to sit and read, birdwatch (record the birdsong with the Merlin app), eat outdoors, play family games…nap! The decks and outdoor spaces were perfection. So many places we rent have dirty and uncomfortable outdoor seating and areas, but this one had clean couches, benches, tables, chairs, rocking chairs, and even a swing! The tables sat more than 4 and had umbrellas that WORKED. Our kids used the bikes which were actually functional and safe. They biked ten miles our first day there. My kids also played basketball together after dinner in the evenings. The hoop, backboard, net, and ball are in excellent condition. The kitchen is new. Appliances, faucet, cutting boards, silverware, pots, pans, and plates all perfect. We cooked multiple times with no issues. The beds were comfortable. The pillows were good. Kids bunk-room was great. The indoor seating areas looked nice/clean, but we didn’t spend time indoors. Black Butte Ranch is a destination in itself. I could come and just relax at this house on this ranch and not need to leave. We are from OH and vacation on Hilton Head Island, SC annually, and this is like a western version of those resorts. This visit was only for 3 nights of a 62 night roadtrip, and we all agree we will be back!
