The Staff at the hotel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. I found the hotel to be near the sights and near dining areas. The room was spacious. The breakfast was fine with a good variety of food choices

Alexandar II is in a great location in Skopje which is walking distance to the city center, the old bazaar and the fortress. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious. The staff are very helpful and organised airport pickup for us. We stayed in a non-smoking room, however you can smoke on the balcony so I found the room was still smelling of smoke a bit which was unexpected for me but not too bad.

Overall we had a good experience at the property. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The place was clean but we had a bit of an issue with the cleanliness of the shower in the bathroom as there was a lot of grime buildup. It was cleaned after we pointed it out. There were also a lot of cobwebs in the room. Small things but for very clean people it can cause discomfort.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado. El servicio del personal de recepción es muy bueno. En especial Damian, siempre con una sonrisa, atento y dispuesto a ayudar. Las habitacionoes son amplias, el desayuno es muy bueno. Tienen un pequeño gym bien equipado con todo lo necesario. Cuentan con bicicletas, que vienen muy bien si quieres moverte por la ciudad. Muy recomendable el hotel. ¡Gracias!

My visit to Skopje was greatly enhanced by my stay at Alexandar II. The location was extremely convenient, reception was very friendly helpful and professional. My room was very comfortable clean and quiet. Breakfast was great with several nice selections. A perfect stay!

The staff at this hotel makes it a 5 star hotel in my opinion. They were most helpful in answering my questions on bus information and especially with my lost luggage from the airline. They were able to provide me with complimentary toiletries and direct me where I might get speciality items and cheap clothes (my luggage was missing for 2 1/2 days). I would definitely stay here again and it is a short walk to Macedonian Square, Mother Teresa museum, bus stop.

The hotel staff makes this hotel a 5 staff. Croatian Airlines lost my luggage for 2 nights and they received my bag on the 3rd day. They helped me in dealing with this mini crisis and advised me where I can get some clothes and if I needed any personal items. They provided me with some complimentary toiletries as well. They also were helped in helping organize transportation to Ohrid, tours and tips around the city to see and how to get there. Their support was very comforting and what could have been very stressful few days, I was able to reframe my mind and enjoy the city.

The staff of the hotel is very polite and helpful. The location of the hotel is probably the best it can be. The room was very clean and had a small balcony with a view on the street. I also had a good breakfast. 5 stars for this hotel, especially for the staff.

Nice place, extra charges
Nothing bad about the place, but when checking out all od a sudden appears taxes and fees that we knew nothing when booking the stay. Not much per night (6 euros), but be aware.

Great stay. I’d come again.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and a very close walk to almost all attractions in Skopje. Google maps doesn’t direct you there, but once I found it it was great. Vladimir was very helpful at the front desk, going so far as to making me a reservation at a local restaurant and booking me a cab to get there.

Brilliant staff, so helpful. Breakfast lovely, always with something a little bit different offered-freshly baked. Room was very comfortable, quality mattress and pillows. They opened a brand new fitness room during our stay too! We loved skopoand plan to return-will definitely stay at this hotel again 🙂

Such a lovely hotel! Spacious room, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and oh the pillows...so, so comfortable! The staff was amazing. We were going to check out before breakfast and when the receptionist found out that we are not going to be able to eat breakfast, which was included in our price, she offered to ask the kitchen to prepare a takeaway meal/breakfast for us, which she did and they did and it was delicious.

This is a professionally and quite competently run hotel, with great service and friendly staff who are interested in its guests. Rooms are quiet, breakfast is good, and décor is pleasant.

It was our last night of a long trip and it was perfect. It was so nice to be in a modern hotel for our last night. Our room was really big and it had the best shower. The staff is really nice and helpful and the breakfast is more than enough. Great hotel just 5 min walk from Alexander square. Very recommended!

A fine example what a hotel should be - perfect!
In short - this is my new favorite hotel in Skopje. Everything in this hotel is perfect to the smallest detail. Staff is excellent and very helpful, breakfast is fantastic and rooms are comfortable and pleasant. In short - Absolutely recommended!

a beautiful boutique hotel in an ideal location
It's always a bit of a risk when you book a hotel that only has a few reviews but, in the case of this hotel, I was glad I did! It only opened in July 2018 and has 23 rooms and, although the term 'boutique hotel' is somewhat overused these days as a descriptor ,in this case it applies perfectly. Everything is clean and modern, and the room itself was spacious, well lit, quiet and extremely comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, all of whom were welcoming, friendly and professional. The buffet breakfast was tasty, varied and fresh. The hotel is only a short walk from the main square, and in the same street there is a supermarket, café, bakery, Chinese restaurant and other facilities, so it is in an ideal location to explore Skopje city centre. For 20 Euros one way the staff can arrange transfers between the hotel and the airport, and they will also book local taxis for you which is well worth doing because, unfortunately, there are some unscrupulous taxis who do not always use their meter (although they're obliged to).
