Although the use of the fitness center and spa was
Although the use of the fitness center and spa was included in the hotel service, we were asked to pay separately for those services at a price of 50% of the room price. In the end we still had to pay a small part. It greatly spoiled the impression of staying in the hotel.

This hotel is perfectly located for exploring Skopje. Although it's a bit small, the rooms were clean, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast spread was excellent. If you're looking to explore Skopje at a very reasonable rate, this is it.

Staff was very helpful and spoke perfect English
The staff was great. The staff was super helpful. Gave us great local advice and helped out with our Covid-19 test. We got up and 4 am.....and the only strange thing was it was at that moment we realized there was only one set of towels. Other than that small hiccup it was a great stay

Skopje once again
One of my better hotels I like to stay at when in Skopje. Staff is wonderful organized my trip for the Summer Solstice and ride to the airport. Staff always accommodating and they have a wonder selection for breakfast!

Ok hotel.
The rooms are small. It was previously one of the better hotels in the area. After some days i moved to Marriott and i have to say the vibe, the atmosphere, service and the feeling was very very different. All depends on your preference.

Great Hotel, But Doesn't Have A Real Gym
This hotel is very nice, very clean, very professional with a great location in proximity to the city square (which is fabulous!) It's not fair for us to criticize the hotel because we're the rare few that take advantage of the fitness room. They have a treadmill, a couple of stationary bikes and a weird contraption for resistance training. It's about the size of a hotel room. - IF you're someone that doesn't need a gym, then this is a great place to stay.

Good location, but ...
If you get a room with a balcony it will be overlooking a construction site and they work 7 days. Just beginning, so will be like that for a while. If you had the curtains open they could see you. I did mention this and was offered a 4th floor room, I was on the 3rd. Not much difference. I was not offered 5th floor. The front rooms overlook another building. The rooms are well decorated, but are small. No kettle or tea or coffee making facilities. Amenities and water are not replaced for your stay. Breakfast was OK. Great location near the main square. Depends on what is important for you. They just seemed stingy.

Great hotel for cost and closeness to center of town. Loved the pillows!!! Room and internet and TV selection was great every time I stay (2-3 times a year) there are additional benefits and improvements, breakfast -made to order omelets and more! Thanks Solun Staff the ladies are great!

Great hotel. Perfect location.
The Hotel Solun was a pleasant surprise. The front desk was very welcoming, efficient and most helpful. We were asked to sit for a few minutes while our room was readied, even though we arrived well before the check-in time. The room was well appointed, modern and stylish. Everything in the room was well planned and comfortable. It would have been perfect, had there been a place to open our luggage, but otherwise, one cannot complain. The air conditioning seemed to give us some issues on the hotter nights, but the front desk staff was very helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and were most impressed with the array of choices in the breakfast buffet. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor garden patio, which was very quiet and a pleasant way to enjoy dinner. The food was fabulous; tasty and well presented. The location of the hotel couldn't be better... a half block from the town square and close to all amenities and sites. We found our room to be quiet and relaxing; with a good selection of toiletries. The walk-in shower was well planned, with a choice of hand shower or the overhead rain shower head. I'd have loved to have had a tub, but won't hold it against them that there wasn't one. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to any traveller.

Stay here! You won't be disappointed
Centrally located. It is a short walk to most of the main tourist sites. Close to Macedonian Square. The building is a little hidden from the front and back so you may need to ask for directions when you are only 100 meters from it! It's big and completely panted dark brown so it stands out. Recent renovation. Very modern. and the parking is right behind the building and it's free! The included breakfast is actually very good with a big, wide selection.

As my stay was long I asked sever times to be transferred to another room. No body seemed to care and no one followed up. Asked 3 times, then you just give up. Probably stay in Mariot next time, even we have used this hotel for years now. Just fed up that the staff doesn't seem to care at all.

It was nice to be in Skopje, but........
Nice and clean and well located, nevertheless they need to work on their elevator issue as ir looks like they are having technical problems as during our stay we got several problems! Also, their rooms larger on the pictures! Really nice service and really friendly people! We do recommend!!

Excellent hotel close to the centre
This is a very nice, peaceful hotel with a slight Art Deco feel. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. The hotel and rooms are very quiet at night, but with good room service and well-attended front desk. The spa pool made an enjoyable swim.. big for a spa, but a little bit small for a hotel pool. It was well maintained and clean. The restaurant needs a bit more practice though. The one evening meal we had in there was a disaster. Breakfast was generally good... especially the coffee, but as far as eggs go... they only seem to know how to do omlettes - no matter what you ask for! Otherwise an excellent hotel and worth the extra money to be in the centre.

Alread visited this hotel. Very nice hotel, confortable room, right in the center (5min walk from the bazar). Good breakfast. Taxi station in front of the hotel. Minimarket 20 meter from the hotel. Only minus point you can hear from your room people talking at the reception if you are on the 1st floor.
