"The A/C worked well, the hot tubs were at 100 degrees and the pool was clean and warm. I have been going to BVI for 20 years. Since Highway West bought it I have noticed much more deferred maintenance, some of which is going to cost them in the long run. The doors and window sills are wooden and have always been well maintained. Now the doors are faded and looking worn from the sun. The window sills are already starting to dry out. If Highway West reads these reviews they need to get started on re-staining/oiling the doors and windows before they are beyond repair. Which won't take long in the desert. The AirBNB style check-in is fine. I miss the breakfast and cookies in the afternoon. The DG used to be raked pretty religiously, but was not on our last trip. There were other small things that I noticed. When Rich & Gwynn owned it they were on-site and those details were noticed. Overall still an amazing place to stay for a relaxing & romantic getaway. . "

"only changes I would concider are. The stairs need to be cleaned and as you said are hard. Not for young children or the elderly or disabled. The bed room is very small The bed was very comfortable but to high for short person to get into.Loved the Kitchen, so easy to use. So, many comforts. Entertainment area was wonderful. Veiws outstanding. Weather was strange. Hot Tub, Great, need more strps . short people hard time getting in. The quiet and nature beauitful. Thank you, again. "

"Western Themed very cute and well kept. Pool was perfect nightly retreat. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Facility had some negatives that would have been good to know before booking. Main pool was not available awaiting permit. Restaurant was “under construction” no indication of this just closed. AC in the older rooms froze over in 95 degree weather I do not recommend those rooms. Moved to a slightly more modern room AC was great. Staff was accommodating and friendly. "

"The lobby is not 24 hours, so just be aware if you are getting in late - you will have to ring a doorbell and have someone stumble out of bed to help you. Their parking lot is TINY, making it very hard to park & maneuver, especially if you have a lot of luggage. The hotel is nice, but we were happy to be having a short stay."

"It was a rough start at first. We were very pleasantly surprised by the grace we were extended by the well mannered staff at the Apple Tree Inn. After going over our reservation with the owners of the inn, it was proven that Expedia had misrepresented the accommodations, both size and occupant capacity. As we had more than just ourselves staying, it was a welcome relief when we were given two separate rooms instead of the misappropriated single queen bed unit at no extra charge. The Apple Tree Inn is very clean, very comfortable, very accommodating. Highly recommend!!"

"The room was clean and staff was very friendly. The food was great and the casino was a fun time. I would recommend it to anyone that wants a fun getaway. "
