"John and Susan ( the hosts) were fantastic! They came out to meet us and asked if we had any questions or concerns and we didn’t because the house was really perfect!.We all had a wonderful time.(5 adults and two kids 3 and 6..) The kitchen had everything and the beach and lake access were the best . My granddaughter made sand castles and my grandson had a blast with the trucks . My son and son-in-law used the kayaks and paddle boards and took the kids out on them too. We spent our evenings outside eating dinner some nights and enjoying the fire pit including toasting marshmallows . We can’t wait to go back some day. Thank you Susan and John!"

"This Chester apartment was a wonderful home base for our Lassen Volcanic National Park trip. There was lots of room for the two of us and I can imagine four people comfortably staying here. Diane has many small touches that were appreciated - charging banks, nightlights, restaurant menus, two keys and cable TV to get the local news. Diane lives across the street so contacting her was easy and not overbearing. Chester has many restaurant options and a very laid back vibe. We enjoyed people watching from the balcony. We don't cook much on vacation so the minimal kitchenette was enough for us. The steps up to the apartment may limit renters with mobility issues but weren't a problem for us. The only drawback to the apartment is the noisy street but it quiets down at night and the bedroom is in the back, so sleep isn't disturbed. The cleanliness, floor plan and location make this apartment a strongly recommended rental option."

"Newly renovated rooms; Excellent location on the main road & access to Lassen NPS; Room equipped with electric stove, fridge & min-fridge, microwave & conventional ovens, room heater, utensils & dining table; Property Owner- Mr. Matt is very helpful & accommodating; Hopefully AC will be ready soon; We spotted deer in the property; convenient parking;"

"We love it here and this was our second stay. I’m going to book next year. Tanya is super helpful. The Neighbir’s across the street are friendly and everything is 5 minutes away! There’s really good mechanic, Dave, over at plumes tires who got us out of a pickle when our alternator went out."
