  • This unit is located in Mountain Lodge, and is one of only 6 St. Moritz units in the building, which means that it is 1000+ sq. ft. (approx. 240 sq. ft. larger than a standard 2-bedroom) and has a wood-burning fireplace. This one is a top floor, corner unit with panoramic views of the ski lift, ski slope, and the beautiful mountain lake. Pictures don't do it justice. You can watch your family get off the lift and wave down to them as they ski by! If you want a great place to make some lifelong family memories, this is it!

    Mountain Lodge is one of the older buildings in Village Central, and as it was here first, it arguably occupies the best spot on the mountain. You would be hard-pressed to find another building in the village with better views, or that is more ski-in, ski-out than this one. It is adjacent to the Ballhooter lift, has easy access to a beginner slope, or you can ski down on a green or blue run. For the utmost in convenience, there are ski/bike lockers you can rent just inside the exit to the slopes. Mountain Lodge has it's own private parking lot (rare on the mountaintop), which is free to Mountain Lodge guests. It is walking distance to the Village shops (including ski rentals), several restaurants, and Split Rock Pools with heated pool, hot tub, and sauna (additional charges apply). During prime ski season, there is even a restaurant in the basement of the building, so on those really cold nights, you can go out to eat without even going outside!

    Mountain Lodge features a comfortable lobby (currently undergoing remodeling) with a large fireplace and overlook seating areas with breathtaking views of the mountain. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in the building, as well as in the unit. There is a coin-operated laundromat on each floor. There is an indoor children's play area with playground equipment, a gym, and an indoor glice skating rink. Mountain Lodge is also one of the few buildings at the resort with a 24-hour desk clerk and on-site maintenance in the unlikely event anything should go wrong. Please note that while temps on the mountain are usually cool year round, Mountain Lodge is not equipped with A/C, so if you are considering a stay in the middle of summer, you may want to take this into consideration.

Annual ski trip

My friends and I go on a ski trip every year and this was the perfect location! We loved the ski in ski out location and it was plenty of space for 6 people. We definitely would stay again!

Amazing place at Mtn Lodge

We loved this spot at Mountain Lodge! The view and coziness was perfect for an early Christmas with family. The rooms are sizeable compared to other units.

Had a beautiful view of the main lift and the mountain. Living room seemed bigger then most other places in the building. The building had fly issues though, we assumed due to construction. Also the bedroom near the gym was noisy at times. People do not follow the times and we were woken up every morning with someone working out.Overall we enjoyed our stay and loved the actual apartment.

Spacious condo

Great location plus a spacious condo, we will definitely want to stay here again. The condo is located beside the workout room so if you are a light sleeper, this could be a problem for you.

The location is the best. Right on the corner and with a beautiful view. Everything was top notch with Brenda, quick response and everything was as described. The staff at check-in was not so service-minded, but that was fine and the only thing that slowed things down a bit.

We’ve been to this property several times, the views are beautiful with great access to the slopes. It’s the perfect size for our family. Brenda is great to work with and has great communication Would love to see the kitchen cookware upgraded with more casserole type dishes for cooking. Great Unit with Amazing Location

Loved our visit here. Logistics were easy - we had some scheduling issues that Brenda was a terrific help with.Check-in was smooth. Location is a 5 minute walk from the Village and Split Rock pool. Very convenient.Mountain Lodge is old for sure. Think 80s ski lodge. But our unit was spotless when we arrived, with a great kitchen, and a nice layout. Very comfortable (beds were nice). And of course, you are overlooking the slopes and Ballhooter lift. Wonderful for the non-skiers. We would definitely stay here again.

Glows - Can't beat the ski out location and convenient gear lockers. Amazing penthouse view of the slopes and mountains. Loved the cozy wood-burning fireplace and spacious enough for our family of 4. Parking onsite was a huge plus for this busy resort area. Lodge staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the game areas and breakfast and dinner onsite. Grows - could use a new pots and pans set, primary bath drain clogs and fills with water during shower, need to restock fireplace kindling supplies, balcony snow shoveled for better access of views.

Outdated

Don’t over pay for this unit! This unit has a top notch view, but that’s all it has going for it. The unit is very dated, the full kitchen was stocked with random pieces needed for cooking. Does have a new Keurig, so that’s a plus. The ceiling fans and furniture was full of dust, carpeting everywhere except the bathroom and kitchen area…gross! The beds were very uncomfortable. Both of the bathroom showers didn’t drain and black gunk backed up in the smaller bathroom. Molding coming from the wall & fireplace hearth has broken pieces, so if you have little ones don’t let them over there.

Wife says: “ "After enjoying Snowshoe for thirty ski seasons, we tried Mountain Lodge for the first time this year, and your third floor unit was our initial rental. The view was phenomenal, the rooms were spacious, and we were happy to enjoy the lobby facelift right outside our door. Your location can't be beat!! That said, my husband and I were unable to sleep together in the same bed and I ended up on the couch every night! It isn't just that we are accustomed to a king-sized bed at home. The mattress was lumpy and sagging, and appeared to be held up with pots, pans, and kitchen bowls jammed under the bed. Our plans continue to be returning to Snowshoe at least once every season, and we would welcome the chance to rent your unit again - provided I'm able to sleep in the same room as my husband. :-)"Husband says “The quarters were great. We enjoyed the views. I enjoyed the unit, but I’ve noted some things for consideration. 1) The unit needs a much larger trash can in the kitchen. The current can fills quickly and is in an awkward place. 2) master bed is saggy and uncomfortable . With space to spare in the master, a king would be nice.3) when we arrived the unit was filled with flies. I killed several. I noticed later that there were dozens of dead ones in the window sills and on the floors behind chairs. I vacuumed thoroughly. Your cleaning crew has overlooked this for some time apparently. 4. Toilets are really low and not accommodating for a man.

Most exceptional location in several ways...

On a first family trip to Snow Shoe we did not know much about the village or properties available. This unit is in Mountain Lodge (which admittedly we now know is a pretty rowdy place in terms of all the mountain options - lots of drinking and younger groups) but of all the possible units in the entire building this unit is easily the most desirable location. Its off the main lobby rather than less desirable wings of the hotel, its far from elevator traffic, it has no unit to its immediate right. It has tables and firewood in the concourse directly next to the front door. The view however from the balcony -which is not shared with another unit using a divider - is probably the best you can get in the entire resort. The only reason the cleanliness score is docked a point isn't for the unit itself but the building that is Mountain Lodge, which is showing age and a little big of lack of attention compared to neighboring properties owned by Snow Shoe. The unit itself was as clean as one could ask for. As for everything your hosts CAN control its a 10/10 with great communications. You can easily walk out of side door of the lodge and right onto the slopes and grab a coffee or breakfast item or short walk to the village corridor with shops and bars. The ski school and rentals are the opposite side of the village if that is of significance. This is a property best suited for a family with all their equipment owned who want to walk right out and strap in and go.
