Very nice hotel in a cute town. Half of the parking is under some very active crows. So you might need to pay for parking if you are not willing to get a dirty car.

Modern and clean hotel with beautiful views of the Old Town of Solothurn. The location is extremely convenient to the train station and also to shopping and restaurants. Very comfortable room and nice size. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there And hope to return!

Cool building along the river with quite ample rooms. We had a very poor check-in experinece; probably one of the worst ever. But, the Manager was a very positive force to mitigate the negatives which make for a better review.

Excellent but not all suites have views!

The information on Hotels.com that all suites have a river view is incorrect. Our allocation was a view of the car park and a building opposite. The ‘accessible’ room provided had a wet room with excellent view of the toilet from the bed. Possibly provided because of a company event taking over. The smaller room that we were reallocated had excellent views across the river and was very comfortable. When a new river view suite was available, that was excellent, spacious and worth moving again for. The restaurant was expensive and the food was average, although the service was excellent, I cannot recommend it. My biggest criticism is the ridiculous deposit/freeze of £600 on my credit card, for a stay of two nights, way more than anywhere else on our trip across Europe! The location was great, the hotel a little worn but excellent, the service good and I would stay again.

I had an excellent stay at H4 Hotel Solothurn. The property is very clean, the staff were friendly and professional, and the facilities are well maintained. The location is convenient and everything is easily walkable. The only challenge I encountered was that parking can be limited when the hotel is fully booked but street parking can be found. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily return!
