we had the best holiday ever We stayed in Apartment Alan at the end of June and we had the best holiday ever.The apartment is spacious, clean and set in a lovely safe complex just a few minutes walk from the centre of Sorrento.We used the lovely pool every day and you feel as if you are one of the locals. We could sit on the balcony in the mornings and evenings and watch the world go by.You can walk in minutes to the train station where you can get a train to pompeii or a bus to the Amalfi Coast.The car hire place is across the road and boat hire in the marina about 10 minutes walk away. You are right beside all the shops and restaurants so no queuing for a taxi at the end of the night.The host who met us was extremely friendly and helpful.We just loved Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast and we cant say enough good things about Apartment Alan.We would just love to go back again next year.

Not what I expected

Here are my comments about the apartment: Great location, close to EVERYTHING and clean, having a half bathroom was a plus. Very accommodating staff. When we first arrived the apartment looked great! BUT 1. There was no toilet paper in the bathrooms. After 4 adults settled in after our flight we all found out the hard way that no toilet paper was supplied. 2. The beds were awful. None of us got more that a couple of hours of sleep. We considered going to a hotel but it was too expensive. So we went down the beach and rented lounge chairs at $40 euro a day just to get some needed sleep. When you are traveling every day to other towns and going on tours its very tiring and not getting a decent nights sleep produced a very cranky family. 3. the shower in the main room which was so small none of us could fit, had a loose plastic one sided door so the whole bathroom got wet. The shower in the hallway was not much larger and after every shower there was so much water on the floor that created a wet damaged wall. Given only 2 bath towels per person for 12 days, I had to use them to soak up all the water from the showers and do laundry every night so we would have clean towels to use on ourselves. Very noisy: apartment faces the main street and next to it is a restaurant that played loud music until midnight. This is not what one expects while on vacation. I'm sure there are other apartments that are better. Would not recommend

Location, location, location

This apartment was bright, clean and airy with lots of room for our party of four. The best part is the location which is a couple of minutes away from the centre of Sorrento and close to many restaurants, groceries etc.

Overall, the apartment is centrally located, clean, and comfortable. The amenities were good. We had a problem with the stove not working and could not get in touch with Max; however, we called Mr. Davide next and he was attentive and came immediately.
