Ryokans in South Ari Atoll

"Pros: - Great location, very close to bikini beach - Lovely, friendly staff (Farhad, the Myanmar girls, Metun, everyone was wonderful and made our stay pleasant) - Tasty food & good breakfast - Comfortable beds Cons: - Ishan from the hotel booked us a whale shark & manta combined excursion. During the excursion we overheard it was only for whaleshark and we only saw the manta because we didn’t find the whaleshark for a few moments in the end in non clear water as the sun had set. Also, no one informed us about the plankton in the water and my husband got an allergic reaction which meant he shouldn’t sunbathe or swim (then what’s the purpose of being in the Maldives?!) - Limited space in the room to hang wet clothes from the beach - No communication beforehand about the booked speedboat, we had to figure it out ourselves in the airport - European standards pricing but I don’t believe the staff is getting paid at the same level."
