"Shower doors weren't cleaned completely but the rest of the premises are fantastic! Great location. The host was more than accommodating and prompt and they were thoughtful enough to leave 2 robes for our comfort, which was greatly appreciated. My only suggestion: I get that it's winter and I'm a Canadian, but re: the hot tub is to maybe install a wall of some kind/wrap the 3 sides in winter to block the wind. I still enjoyed it in the blizzard! I also noticed that there wasn't a spare blanket in the room but I just turned up the heat and all was well. Overall I love the kiwi and will be back! "

"Staff, room the grounds, all was great"

"House was a nice large space to accommodate our needs and convenient location to what we wanted to do. Tractor came each day to plow the driveway so we didn't have to dig out of the snow. We did have some issues with the August Stay app but Tamer was quick to answer our call and we were able to work out the problem. The house wasn't horribly dirty but it wasn't the cleanest. Appears to be a space that hasn't really been "lived" in by the owner or visited recently. Lots of lightbulbs were burned out, the light fixture in the upstairs bathroom didn't have the cover plate secured to the ceiling. One of the outlets in the bedroom did not have a cover plate on it. The upstairs hall light was burned out. Disappointed that the fireplace wasn't functional, no instructions, pilot light did not seem to be lit and the frame around the front was falling off. Table cloth on dining room table hadn't been wiped clean and was full of crumbs and stains. Towels and sheets were provided but some didn't look clean. Only 2 washcloths for 4 people for a home that could accommodate up to 10 people? Various board games, pool table and air hockey are a nice addition for entertaining but unfortunately the pinball machine wasn't working because the coin deposit was jammed full of various coins. Quiet neighborhood and beautiful land/pond. Overall decent stay. Just needs some TLC. "

"The grounds and the winery here at Hessenland are beautiful. We loved being able to walk around and explore the gardens and lovely seating areas. The outdoor pool was a refreshing treat during this heat wave. The food and drink was fabulous and the staff wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful. We found the inn itself dated and tired looking. The rooms and sitting areas could use with an update and refresh like the rest of the property has had. On the whole though we enjoyed our stay."
