“We had a delightful stay at the Country Cottage in Spotswood over Easter weekend. The cottage was charming and thoughtfully decorated, with lots of little touches that made us feel welcome—like a lovely jar of preserves and fresh fruit and even Easter Eggs waiting for us. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee and tea, and there were plenty of linens and towels.Lesley also went out of her way to make our two greyhounds feel completely at home. “We loved this property. It was private and peaceful with a lovely rural outlet and some very cute pet sheep. While near the main homestead the set up and positioning made it private with its own parking area and entranceway. A short walk was a paved track which went down to the beach. Stunning views from the top over the bay. We spent most of our time onsite for the 4 days we were there celebrating a 90th birthday and it was excellent to be able to bring my elderly dad there each day for……

“Lovely place with easy access to the beach. Extremely quiet and dark, allowing for great stargazing. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. Friendly host who quickly explained everything and was available for questions via text. Would definitely return the next time we’re near Kaikoura. ”
