You Should Know

I asked property manager for recs on trials and playgrounds since we have a little one and never heard back. There were nail clippings on living room rug and stairs. So the upcharge cleaning fee of 400 large is/was ridiculous. The heating system was TERRIBLE. SO TERRIBLE MY IN LAWS LEFT US THERE AND CHECKED INTO A HOTEL THE LAST NIGHT. The heating intensely warmed up only one side of the house and left the 2nd area of the house cold. It caused complaining, discomfort and inconvenience. THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO ASAP. The wiring on staircase left us very paranoid about our baby walking around. The toiletries were on par with motel 8. We would not stay there again. Especially for the incredible high price we paid for the 4 nights there. Where we don't have to bend over backwards and clean before we leave. NOTHING TO COOK WITH...NO OIL, BUTTER.... NOT EVEN SNACKS. WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE AFTER OUR LONG DRIVE. THERE SHOULD BE A DOOR FROM THE KITCHEN TO ENTRY OF OTHER PART OF THE HOUSE TO STOP THE NOISE. I COULD HEAR EVERYTHING MY FAMILY WAS DOING IN THE LIVING ROOM. WE HAD A BAD STAY. WE DEFINITELY WON'T STAY HERE AGAIN. EVEN IF IT WAS HALF THE PRICE WE WOULDN'T STAY AGAIN. It's all good looks. Not functional.

A great home for a family gathering

Spending Christmas in this home was the right place at the right time. The kids loved the game console in the loft. The adults loved the proximity to Safeway and the pub. We were warm and cozy with a well appointed kitchen. We built a berm for the kids to sled. I would and will rent again.

The house was perfect for our weekend getaway. The 10 of us were very comfortable. The house was clean and the bathrooms were immaculate. The whole place feels clean and new. We would definitely recommend this home to our friends!

No AC - Not Newly Renovated

By no means would I describe this as "newly renovated" but it gave the appropriate space for our group. For the price we paid, I really expected it to be in better condition. The upstairs which has the loft and one bedroom with a queen bed is so creaky and has no insulation so whoever is upstairs has to be quiet if you have kids sleeping in the bunk room below. I recommend sound machines for kids if you are putting them in that room and have someone sleeping above them. Also there is NO Air Conditioning! So if you are going during the Summer be prepared! It was really hot when we were there so we struggled sleeping a few night because you have to have windows open and fans going so it's an adjustment. It also didn't feel super clean, I mean it's clean(ish) but don't look too hard. The beds/sheets/towels felt and smelled clean but it could use a good dusting/vacuuming. Also the outdoor area was covered in pollen and the furniture outside was nasty. I wish it was cleaner because we wanted to hang outside more but I didn't want to sit on the sectional. The hot tub water was really low and didn't look particularly clean.. it smelled like chlorine but had stuff from trees all in the bottom. The bathroom lighting was horrific in the upstairs bathroom and the bathroom mirror was tiny in another bathroom so girls were constantly shuffling to different bathrooms to get ready(keep in mind if you have a house full of girls). The water pressure was great and beds slept very comfortably. There is also a Toto toilet that hums VERY loudly in the bathroom attached to the King. My parents were in that room and just unplugged it because it was so loud each time you activated it(got close to it or flushed). The pots and pans are all really beaten up or scratched and the pots are small. So for the amount of people the house accommodates you really dont have large enough pans for a meal for everyone. The location is great, you are right beside a path that cuts through to Safeway and the lake, so we loved the location!

Perfect vacation home for family

Great place overall

We had a great time, house was clean and comfortable. Only feedback would be that the hot tube was pretty dirty and the grill did not work. Overall would definitely recommend this place.

Great house, could have been cleaner

House itself was great. It was roomy, with comfy beds and a fun family area upstairs with a cool video game console. Location was great. Kitchen was pretty well equipped. Communication with property management was easy; no problem there. The only criticism I have is the house was poorly cleaned. Reading previous reviews, I see I am not the only renter that feels this way. I would encourage the management company to hire a new cleaning crew. When we got to the house, the cleaners were still there...strangely, they seemed to be busy focusing on hosing the outside areas. Once we got inside (about 10 minutes after our check in time)... it wasn’t clean. The kitchen counters still had old food debris, and there were cobwebs and dust on the stair banisters. I don’t think the floors were mopped, because after like an hour of walking around the house in my white socks, they were black on the bottom. Another issue: while there was still cleaning solution in the toilet bowls (so toilets weren’t skipped, exactly)...the toilet seats were clearly not wiped down (there were urine and “other” splatters on the seats). I didn’t bother contacting the management company because honestly, I didn’t want them to send this cleaning crew back again. I had brought my own Clorox wipes, so decided to just wipe EVERYTHING down myself. It wasn’t that big a deal... but we definitely didn’t come into a clean home. Which is kinda yucky, especially during these Covid times. We would definitely recommend/stay again, would just hope for a more thorough cleaning crew.

Family Vacation

Great Location. Just a short walk to stores and restaurants. We had multiple kids with us and really enjoyed the space. I highly recommend it for families.
