Too far from restaurants and places to see in Portland. Chose it for proximity to University of Southern Maine but it is actually quite far away with many other hotels nearer.

If youre looking for a no frills clean convenient place this is a good choice. Its near the mall as well as less than 15 minutes to downtown Portland. If you have access to a car everthings very close by. Breakfast options are limited however

We did not have hot water for 2 days of our stay. The breakfast menu was very satisfying as was the coffee. But the staff member in charge for breakfast was very intimidating with the way she policed everything and reprimanded that "She didn't like the eggs mixed in with the Sausage", among other things. Kind of followed us around each time we were getting our food.

The folks there were very pleasant to deal with and our room was wonderful. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of options. Close enough to Portland and Freeport area to make our roadtrip from NC easy.

Pro's! The location was excellent. Quick access to Portland downtown and the surrounding areas. Great free breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Friendly staff! Cons! Low pressure on the shower. Limited towels. An elevator could be cleaner. Kids are running in the hallway and overhead. Get a top floor. You're looking for a budget hotel without many bells and whistles, this is a great choice.

Room 220 in particular is EXTREMELY noisy. It’s right that on top of something that causes the entire floor to vibrate. Impossible to get a good night sleep. Arrived from airport at1:45am. Too late to do anything about it, but this night stay ranks among the worst. The shuttle driver was not very personable - didn’t even offer to take my luggage on or off the shuttle (and I was the only rider. Check in staff might as well have just stayed in bed as they were half asleep when I arrived. Not welcoming AT ALL or helpful at check in.

Wife and I stayed there for 4 days. We walked into the room and the forst thing she saw was hair on the floor. When she was taking a shower, noticed a small area of mold forming in the shower. The property offers every other day housekeeping servic which is not a problem, but they did not provide service at all. Check with the front desk around 2pm, they assured me that our room would be cleaned because we were on the schedule for housekeeping list and not to worry. Came back after diner, nothing was done. I went to the feint desk to get what was needed to make the room and did it myself. Nobody from upper management bothered to reach out to us with any explanations, not even a sorry. Cowards? Or maybe they didn't even care because we were asians? Don't want to believe that but could not help feeling that way. The only highlight was the front desk staff who were very friendly and informative.
