"So the place was beautiful. Got in relaxed had dinner then once the sun went down it got cold put the aircon on and it blew cold air our room was 16 degrees also is winter managed to get it to 18 in 2 hours then go to have a shower the water was cold ran it for 20min with my naked wife freezing to get it just warm to soap up and rinse off. A staff member became up to help and he told me he would get engineering onto it this week, but we were only staying for the night. I asked if we could move rooms he said they were booked out and if I wanted to, I could pack up and leave. Poor service by the staff and then went to order pizza for Room Service to try and keep my partner happy ment to be within 15 min took over 45 min."

"The room itself met our needs; however, upon checking in late at night, we discovered it had not been properly cleaned. There was underwear hanging on the bathroom door and no fresh towels provided. We raised this issue at reception the following morning and were advised the room would be deep cleaned. When we returned later that day, only the beds had been remade. There were still no towels or amenities, and the room had an unpleasant smell. We made a further complaint regarding the lack of towels and were offered some at reception, however, for the remainder of our stay the towels were not changed, despite the hotel room guide stating that they should be. On our final day, we left the room to explore and returned at approximately 4:00 pm to find the room had not been serviced. To make matters worse, while getting ready for dinner, cleaning staff entered the bathroom despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being clearly displayed on the door."

"Star Casino presents well. Positives: - food choice - ABBA show in theatre - locality to Broadbeach - better customer service this time, felt like a customer, not someone who owed gratitude to customer service reps. Not so Positives: - ABBA show 1st half, the sound setup wrong, couldn't hear the singers - room toilet too low for sitting - no fresh orange at breakfast, and would have preferred English Bacon. If it wasn't for the 'Not so positives', would have rated 5*"
