“Pefect stop over for my recent stay in Thirsk. The owner was so attentive and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the parking was secure.”

“The inn was okay and the staff were nice. Couldn’t sleep though which is the point of a hotel. Had a road facing room and could hear every single car as it sped by. Torture. The shower was also maybe the worst I’ve had in the last 5 years of constant travel. Felt like someone held a pinched hose over me and there was no water pressure at off peak shower times. ”

“The hotel is well situated and offers a convenient base for the local area. I would also like to commend the night staff, who were exceptionally professional, understanding, and accommodating throughout our stay. However, our experience in Room 11 was deeply unsettling. During the night, my partner was abruptly woken and believed she had been physically touched, which caused her considerable distress. When we raised this with staff, we were informed that similar reports had been made……

“Gorgeous location. Big room with comfy bed and good bathroom. Cosy bar and we enjoyed a lovely meal. Nice walk into the tiny village for cafe and another pub. Good value. If you’re not a dog person it’s worth noting there were a lot of guests with dogs.”

“Hand soap at bathroom sink would be useful and some hanging hooks in vestibule and bathroom. Spotless clean, great food and staff.”

“We had a really enjoyable stay at Townend Farm and Julie was extremely helpful booking a meal at the Tiger Inn and also giving us information about local bus services The breakfast was a really good standard and cooked perfectly . Our only concern was that the rooms were on the second floor with steep staircases which made it difficult to carry suitcases and to access the rooms.Perhaps it might be worth pointing out on the website Thankyou Julie for a lovely stay ”
