This was perfect for a relaxing getaway and we’d go again. Very near to beaches, shops, restaurants and pubs. Only downside is parking - allocated parking is quite a walk away (not ideal in heavy rain!) Access to the parking is not easy, even for a small car and an experienced driver.

3 ladies on a 5 night stay in May

We really enjoyed our stay in St Ives at “Ahoy There”. The place served us well, was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, supplying us with everything we needed and only a five-minute walk to Porthgwidden, a sandy cove for morning swims. The host responded quickly to our questions in a friendly and helpful manner. Though comfortable, the living room during the day was darker than the rest of the house so we appreciated the spacious, bright and sunny kitchen where we tended to congregate. We would have liked to take advantage of the third-floor balcony, but it wasn’t large enough to easily seat three people - and the seagulls had found it before us. The only real problem was the lock box whose keypad was very difficult and time consuming to open in order to retrieve the key. We would recommend replacing it. Overall, for location, cleanliness, and suitability, it was excellent.
