My expedia says check in at 3:00. Hotel says 4:00 and they were terrible at communicating when rooms were done amd we didn’t get in until 4:30. Parking was ridiculously expensive and they put two pending charges for $192.00 and $242.00 before they figured out the correct amount. Had to call back because they charged me for two valet parking permits when i purchased one.. not a great experience

Cleaning and cooking staff were always really friendly and super helpful, as well as some of the front desk staff. Housekeeping always did a thorough job cleaning the rooms. Some of the valet were also very helpful. On some days they appear shot staffed, at least in the morning, so just keep in mind you might have to wait 10-15 minutes for your car even if you call ahead. I had a room that looked like it had been broken into. Sometimes it was hard to completely shut. Also not sure what can be done about this but guests would run down the hallways or stomp really loudly on the floor above me, late at night. You can also hear the next door’s toilet flush. When booking, there was nothing that stated the need to pay for parking daily (self park or valet). This may not be such a big deal when you’re there for a few days, but if you’re doing an extended stay like I did, that presents a huge additional cost. I wanted to cancel my reservation but by that point they wouldn’t refund me, so I had to pay the additional to park. This made it difficult for me to tip the valet. (I booked through Expedia and it didn’t mention the daily parking fee; not sure what the actual hotel site says). Laundry facilities on site are fine EXCEPT that it is quarters only and there is no coin dispenser anywhere on the property. They will literally tell you, “Fresh Thyme across the street should have quarters” — may be fine for someone with no children.

The breakfast was lacking, parking was expensive and a pain (although the valet were the nicest staff), the pool was cold, our room was missing condition and they never brought us soap, they repeatedly forgot our towels after cleaning, our safe and phone were broken and never replaced or fixed after several requests and the blow dryer was weak and terrible. Good location across from The Foundry.

Our room was changed because i booked through Expedia and not Marriot and there was nothing i could do. I booked a room to sleep our family of five but was changed to a room with 2 queens and no pull out couch. We were given extra blankets though. The ADA accessible room that I DID NOT reserve was so loud from the plumbing. At least i didn't have to pay for an extra water feature. The staff was at least friendly and the breakfast had a variety of options. The pool never had any clean towels. So bring them from your room and ask the desk to bring you more.

We chose this location for our Soring Break. It was my daughter, myself and our pupster. We always felt safe and it was a great location. Every staff member I interacted with was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar in the morning is amazing. The jars with fresh fruit infused water were so refreshing. We would definitely stay here again!

Great property with many dining and entertainment options in walking distance. Upbar has great drinks and city views. Great complimentary breakfast. Staff are courteous and attentive. Parking is expensive but the visitor lot around the corner on Laclede Av at the SLU campus is a great inexpensive option and only a five minute walk away.

We had a wonderful stay at Element Hotel. Very clean, quiet, convenient location. We felt safe here and the staff was very kind and helpful. The room our family of 5 stayed in was spacious and had a wonderful kitchenette. We would stay here again.

Staff members, including general manager Michael, greeted us and welcomed us immediately, accommodating an early check-in and valet parking made that process extra simple. The room is well appointed, clean, and modern. The partial kitchenette is such a wonderful addition to the spacious rooms. We lived our stay. And breakfast qlas great with a station grilling fresh, to order, french toast and frittatas.
