We had an extremely disappointing and concerning experience at this hotel. During our stay, items were taken from our room by the cleaning person, and it was clear that she also had gone through our personal belongings. This is not just unacceptable—it’s a serious violation of trust and basic safety. When we reported it, the manager, Sheila, initially appeared sympathetic and assured us she would make it right, including refunding one night to compensate for the situation and the missing items. Unfortunately, once we checked out, that promise was not honored. Instead, we received a refund of only $30, which doesn’t come close to addressing what was taken or the distress caused. Since then, attempts to resolve the issue have been met with avoidance and lack of accountability. Communication has been inconsistent, and we have not received the resolution that was clearly promised. If you value your belongings, your privacy, and honest customer service, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere. This experience left us feeling frustrated, misled, and completely unsupported.

I want to start by saying the front desk team was kind and welcoming. The woman who checked us in went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, offering bottled water and snacks, which we appreciated. She handled a difficult situation at check-in with professionalism. That said, there were several concerns during our stay. The area surrounding the hotel felt unsafe, with a noticeable homeless presence around the property and street. While a security guard was outside when we arrived, we did not see security after that, which made coming and going from our car feel uneasy. Inside the hotel, there was a musty smell throughout. There were deodorizing machines in the hallways, and our room had a mix of musty odor and strong air fresheners that made our eyes water. The room itself also fell short. The beds squeaked loudly with even slight movement, the sink did not drain properly, and the property felt dated. The most concerning moments involved safety. We saw a suspicious man near the front desk and later beside the building with a laptop connected to the hotel exterior, concerning enough that we called the front desk. Then at 4:30 a.m., the same homeless individual from check-in was found sleeping inside between the front doors and had to be woken up and asked to leave. This experience did not match the hotel’s rating. I shared this privately first, but management only addressed the surrounding area and failed to acknowledge issues within their control.

The area around the hotel felt unsafe, with a visible homeless presence around the property and adjacent street. Although a security guard was sitting outside when we arrived, he never intervened, and we saw no additional security presence during the rest of our stay. The hotel also had a strong musty smell throughout. There were clean air machines in the hallways, and our room had a mix of musty odor and overpowering air fresheners that made our eyes water. The beds were on metal frames and squeaked loudly with any movement, the hotel felt dated, and our sink did not drain properly. We also did not feel comfortable stopping for snacks after returning from the dome because the area felt unsafe. The vending machine was broken, and our room overlooked what appeared to be a junkyard.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by an amazing employee April. She was handling a difficult call when we walked in, but still managed to make eye contact and address us until she could help. Once she finished, she processed us into the room quickly and efficiently all while chatting about the area and what we could do in the short time we did have. Such a pleasure to meet someone who enjoys their job and greets the customers with a smile.

Everything was good besides the sink didn’t run any water and there was 4 buckets in the lobby collecting water dripping from the ceiling, for paying over $200 I would hope my bathroom sink worked and I talked to other costumers and they said their sink would go in and out but ours didn’t work at all.
