“The property is lovely on the outside, but drab and in need of a refresh inside. The room was large, but all 3 light sources were clustered near the door with only 1 of the 3, a table lamp, in the bedroom. There were 4 comfortable chairs and a small table, but with no light any where near any of them we could not read or play a card game. We never saw a human rep in the hotel or outside. A sign indicated a restaurant, but, other than an empty outdoor patio, we saw no evidence of it. This was……

“This was an absolutely beautiful property and the accomodations were excellent. Spotless. The breakfast was way beyond my expectations. Mushroom and cheese omelette, with garnishes, yogurt, bread, cookies and excellent coffee. Lovely hosts!”

“Excellent location. Quiet. Found silverfish in bathroom. TV mounted on wall was most inconveniently placed: I bumped into it three times. Only three parking spots and they were all taken - had to park at public metred lot some distance away.”

“The motel has been around for a while, so it could use a little exterior TLC. The room had new A/C mini-split. It worked great. The beds were comfy. The bathroom has been updated. A great shower with lots of hot water. At this price point, we were pleasantly surprised.”

“Check in was easy and quick at the front desk. The lobby area was very nice. We had a good bed in our room. In contrast the hallways and room were a huge disappointment. The bathroom was not the one in the series of 5 photos for my booking. It was the smallest bathroom that I have ever seen in a hotel. The room and bathroom have been updated with a coat of white paint. The workmanship in our room and bathroom was not professional in appearance. No carpet nor rug at all. Shards of glass on……

“This property is in a great location to downtown. Easy walk to Avon theatre, waterfront, shops. Building is an old hotel, room was clean but bathroom with shower quite small but adequate. The air conditioner took all day and evening to cool the room down but not that big of an issue for us as we were out a lot. Lovely grounds and owners were friendly. The online ad said that tea and coffee with pastries /snacks would be served in the mornings. Just tea and coffee available.”
