Nice Hotel, But almost

Great hotel, but soon bankrupt. Air conditioning was not working, and 30 degrees is not good. I was told that there was nothing technically wrong, but after 6 days of aircon was still not fixed. Another repeat guest told me that the economy was very poor and there was something about unpaid bills. So I had 6 days of sweat! it was not fixed up the aircon, which was promised several times. Internet did not work the first 2 days either. I had no time to find another hotel because of extensive meetings all day, but as a tourist I had swapped hotel first day!

Esperienza disastrosa

NOi eravamo gia' stati in questo hotel 4 anni fa,essendoci trovato bene abbiamo deciso di ritornarci. L'hotel ci ha deluso molto.La stanza è vecchia e decadente:il phon non funzionava ed era pieno di capelli,il casstto dell'armadio era rotto #l'armadio aveva solo 2 cassetti#,la tenda era rotta e soprattutto il condizionatore non funzionava bene non rinfrescando,abbiamo fatto la sauna ogni notte. L'hotel avrebbe bisogno di una ristrutturazione generale.

Definetely misleading

The hotel and the room described in my reservation at hotels.com was not the one I saw and was given. There was no balcony and no private parking which was a major problem when arriving at 02:00. Many other rooms I could see did have a "balcony" but it was in the light pit of the building and all someone could see was the wall opposite. There was a swimming pool on the roof but surrounded by buildings and little to see. The furniture in the room was of bad quiality, and the bed sheets were not completely clean. The furniture in the lounge was not very clean either. Curiously enough, the bed was 15 cm shorter than I would need (I am 188 cm tall). The hair dryer did not work. In total, the hotel is definetely NOT a 4 star place. Not even 2.

Billigt, men fugtigt og manglende vedligeholdt

Hotellet var billigt, så spørgsmålet er hvor meget vi kunne fovente og forlange. Vi blev dog meget skuffede over, at der intet dagslys over hovedet, kom ind på vores værelse. Med andre ord var der meget mørkt, hvorved vi kun havde lyst til at opholde os der om natten. Der var også lange sorte hår i badeværelset da vi kom. Hår som blev ved med at være der, alle de fire overnatninger vi havde. Så rengøringen var ikke den bedste. De meget tynde lagner på sengene, gled af madrasserne for et godt ord. Ikke mindst lugtede der af fugt (jordslået), med det samme man kom ind i receptionen. Ikke nogen rar oplevelse. Personalet var dog alle sammen meget søde og imødekommende, der var et dejligt stort svømmebassing på taget. Badevandet deri var fint rent, og der var solstole. Morgenmaden var også ok, prisen taget i betragning. Kunne dog godt savne noget frisk frugt. Beliggenheden var fin, i forhold til at komme rundt på øen.

Hotellet har 4 stjärnor men hade nog inte haft det om det skulle ligga i Sverige, men allt var perfekt som det var och vi rekommenderar att lägga till frukost för den var också mycket bra. Hotellet ligger nära alla busshållplats, prommenaden längst vattnet, supermarkets och The square där massor av restauranger ligger. Nästa gång vi åker till Malta bokar vi gärna Crown Hotel.

Definitely NOT 4 Star But 2 Star

The Hotel is no way a 4 star, more a 2 star with a pool inside. Air con in the rooms was noisy and not effective. Black out curtains didn't work as they didn't fit, pillows were like sleeping on a horse carcus fill with cement but it was clean. No tea and coffee in your room, no mini fridge, eventho there should be one, patio's were communal places where other guests could sit at any hour of the night to drink, smoke and be loud in order to wake you up and ask reception staff to have them moved. This really is Faulty Towers,(not Fawlty.) Wifi is NOT available in all rooms only in reception

on as ete tres tres decu de l hotel : dans l annonce etait marqué belle chambre avec tout confort : chambre nul 2 petits lits inconfortable(les sommiers etaient des plaques de bois en agloméré cassé j ai demandé que l on me change le lit : ils ne l ont pas fait ils m ont rajouté une plaque de bois su l autre qui risquais de casser BONJOUR LE CONFORT)de plus pas de fenetre pas de balcon les toilettes bruyantes le ménage a la vite :ca fait beaucoups je ne mettrais plus les pieds dedans salutation

Desastroso hotel de 4 estrellas

Hotel de 4 estrellas sin minibar, no reponen geles ni champús , tele por cable con solo 2 canales. Solo hacen la cama, no limpian, la mayoría dan a patio interior sin luZ. El teórico wifi solo en el hall. La atención muy mala, llegando a despreciar.

The first day we went to check in and they said they were fully booked!! So we had to get another taxi to a completely different hotel for one night there was no air con it was a disgrace!!

Non è un 4 stelle, deludente.

Non è assolutamente un 4 stelle.. Pulizia scarsa, odori in tutto l'albergo, in camera non c'erano nemmeno le doghe o la rete del letto, ma bensì una tavola di legno con sopra il materasso. Insomma, con pochi euro in piu, ci sono strutture molto migliori.

Fantastiskt

Vår vecka på Crown hotel var fantastisk! Hotellet är fint och superfräsht (såg inte en enda kackerlacka =)) Sängarna var bäddade varje dag när man kom hem och de handdukar man ville ha bytta lade man på golvet så fanns det nya senare under dagen. Det finns wifi i lobbyn (inte på rummet dock). En pool på taket som var helt fantastisk, det finns inte jättemånga bra badplatser i närheten (i alla fall inte om man, som vi, gillar sandstränder) men läget var ändå superbra, vi hann åka till massa ställen under vår vecka här, tog inte alls lång tid med Maltas busstrafik att ta sig till tex Golden bay (bussarna går ofta och det är billigt och enkelt att förstå)

Mi dispiace che la gente racconti cose non vere su questo hotel. E' vero che si tratta di un hotel di 3 stelle e mezzo e non di un 4 ma resta il fatto che offre tutto quello che serve e il personale e' molto bravo. Rapporto qualita' prezzo davvero ottimo. Lo consiglio alla gente intelligente e a tutti coloro che non giocano a sembrare piu' di cio' che rappresentano...

Un hotel bien équipé et un personnel sympa

Nous sommes restés 3 nuits dans cet hôtel en demi pension. Le prix défiait toute concurrence, nous avons apprécié notre séjour. Le buffet est très simple, cela dit nous y étions en basse saison. La piscine sur le toit est très agréable. Les chambres ne sont pas au top mais tout à fait convenables pour le prix.

This is not a 4 star hotel, more like 2/3 star. However, hotels com got us a room with balcony and 2 x breakfasts for 5 days at a very good price. Very good value, no complaints at all.

The Crown Hotel in St Paul's Malta

The best thing that can be said about the Crown is that it is located close to a lot of the stores/restautants/coast line. The Hotel is starting to have a run down feel about it with one lift being almost always out of service or in the process of being repaired. The bar in the hotel is dark and only 2 nights is there any entertainment which was very average. The Irish Pub attached is closed - not sure how long this has been the case. The pool on the roof is quiet good but the snack shop only sells drinks/crisps and ice cream - it is not possible to get any other food. The week that we were there the pool had a very strange color and there was some milkey liquid that was not water in the pool that made the visability awful.The Breakfast is good and I did not sample the evening meal. The rooms that I booked were very dark with no outside windows - they only had sliding doors into a very small courtyard that had no natural light. Overall the hotel was fair - the location good, the breakfast good , the pool was not great - very few umbrellas , lots of broken sun loungers, with a very limited supply of drinks, snacks, ice creams and not other food.

a long walk up the hill !

we arrived at the crown on august 10 ,from the outside the hotel looks ok , specially in comparison to some hotels around it . Stangely loads of teenagers would congregate every night in the reception ( we never found out why). We couldn't find a bar serving alcohol anywhere in the hotel , and the Irish Bar advertised was shut the whole time , the entertainment consisted of 1 man playing a CD !!! . One of the two lifts were out of order , and still was as we left a week later. the breakfast room and food were all very nice , but dont expect sausage and bacon to taste like at home. the room was basic but passable , however we had a strange little seating area outside the room instead of a balcony, which was fairly useless. If you have a problem with mobility this is NOT the place for you , the hotel is impossible to get to without negotiating a series of steps and hills , I am on crutches and i was worn out everyday, and have come home for a rest !!!

Staff helpful, room nice on ground floor with patio area. Maid cleaned room each day clean towels sheets etc. Hotel looks as if it needs some attention indoor pool was unusable it was filthy would be better to drain it and close room. Swimming pool on the roof a nice size pool but again it didnt look clean you could not see your feet once in the pool, many of the sunbeds were broke and there were three sun umbrellas. They have a small snack bar run by friendly staff but they only sell drinks crisps and icecream. We enjoyed our stay but this hotel could be so much nicer if a little bit of money was spent on it to improve standards.
