Poor Experience
The apartment is nice and in a good location, though there are a lot of building works going on both in the building and in the area.Our stay was okay but could have been so much better! I have a number of issues:•We didn’t get to meet the host which makes it all very impersonal. It would be nice to be greeted on the arrival day to make us feel welcome;•There was no welcoming pack – a small posy of flowers, or some biscuits, or a bottle of wine, anything, would have been nice;•Despite being described as a fully equipped kitchen, there is no microwave which, at least for us, would have been more practical than an oven (which we did not use);•Despite requesting a second door key this was completely ignored by our host. I understand that using the keysafe outside the door means you don’t need a second key. But we found this difficult to use and so we were not very happy;•The beds in the second bedroom are poor and are really only suitable for children;•The dishwasher is rusty inside and so we did not use it;•The mirror in the bathroom is losing its silver backing all around the edges and is quite awful to look at;•There was a chip in the bath and a crack in the glass door of the crockery cabinet that we should have been told about but weren’t;•The only comfortable seating is a 3-seater settee (which was comfortable) but with 4 adults we could not all sit comfortably together;•The washing machine room is very untidy and not very clean so we did not use it;
