St. Petersburg Cheap Hotels

"Clean, well appointed rooms. Loved the old world charm. Staff was very nice and helpful. Restaurant downstairs was great!! Had breakfast 3 times and dinner once. Coffee and desserts were awesome. "

"Let us begin with the “pros”: The hotel has a great location; and 24-hour front desk service Here are the “cons” - bear with me, they are a lot: - Very dirty. A historic hotel with a vintage vibe does not have to be dingy to highlight its charm. - No hot water. There is a sign to “let the water run for 1-2 minutes”. Yeah… more like 15 minutes to get relatively warm water. - No daily housekeeping (as advertised), even with door handle sign request. When asked, they said it was done after check out, which would be ok, if originally stated. They offered to come and make the room, but they never did. - Broken and dingy furniture. NOTHING in the room was as pictured in the website. See MY pictures to compare. - Entrance is extremely slippery when wet. No entrance carpet. - No parking, or valet - Front desk incompetence. People were nice, but completely ignorant of basic hospitality principles. Questions were answered vaguely, if at all. When we complained about the issues they said “management would get in touch with us”. I am still waiting for that call. - Read the descriptions carefully: Fees are for two guests. Additional guests pay extra. Not recommended for families, AT ALL. No amenities for children (no pool), and we had to put up with MJ smell in the hall all weekend. - Fun fact: Toiletries were from another hotel. What’s up with that?!"

"Carpets in hallway and room looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. Also, we had to ask for soap and tissues. All the bottles in the bathroom were empty. "

"Overall, it was a good stay. It appears the current owner is making good effort efforts to make the place a decent place. But it still needs work. I was unable to get shampoo for the first few days, my bath would not feel because the drain didn’t have a plug, some noisy guest that appeared to be more like long-term tenants. But the staff was really nice and overall it was a good stay. Also, every single lounge chair in the pool area was broken so I was not able to relax by the pool. I suggest they remove the broken chairs. They do not make a nice decoration. They’re more of a tease which I did not appreciate. I would stay again though."

"Lovely resort! Nice pools and lots of activities- pickleball, volleyball, kayaks and SUPs. Sky Bar is cute and lively. Luma has fabulous food - a bit pricey but worth it. Beach is on the bay so no beach walking. Great location - close to St Pete Beach and downtown St. Petersburg.We’d love to come back!! "

"Elevator spunded like death, no towels in room on arrival. Tv kept shutters off, no book for room service, clock was broken "

"The ice maker did not work the entire stay. The handicapped access to the front door is blocked by planters. The breakfast omelet was cold. The TV remote did not work. The remote has a button for Netflix, but Netflix is not available. The microwave in the room was damaged and dirty."
