A perfect thanksgiving

We loved our stay in st Simons at this home. It was the perfect gathering spot for our family. We had three kids with us and we loved that we could walk to the park, pickleball courts, and restaurants! The house is beautifully done and cozy.

Love the location

Very nice house and pool. Only issue was cleanliness. Master shower door and shower floor dirty, kitchen chandelier needs deep clean, light bulbs on porch lighting were bad, screen doors on porch need repair, pool pavers need pressure washing. Love the house and location and would rent again if it went under a deep clean. Above are suggestions to make the experience better for the next guy.

Reviewer Comments: My family and I had a great time vacationing in St.Simon Island.We liked the rental home and it fits our family needs perfectly.I would like to mention the property needs some attention. The screen door , screen broke out,master shower very slow in draining, back yard still had same trash up,against the house it had last year and could use painting especially outside around pool area.

Beautiful house

The house is great! It’s a gorgeous home! The cleanliness factor is lacking in a major way. (Which I should’ve expected reading others reviews) however, when you are paying this amount for a rental, it should be flawless. I ended up recleaning counters, bathrooms, and kitchen before we used them. Floors appeared as though they hadn’t been vacuumed or mopped and I got piles of gross by simply sweeping the kitchen before anyone even set foot in it. The stove and oven looked like they hadn’t been cleaned ever. The home is beautiful but it needs to be properly cleaned. I likely will not rent through this company again.

Outdated home but very beautiful

I don’t like writing negative things so I’ll start with the positives. Absolutely beautiful home and great area! The pool is concrete and multiple people cut themselves from it. Not a bad thing just be aware. Also it’s pretty deep. They said maybe 7 or 8 feet. Bathtubs stained, grime on shower heads. The home was not very clean. There was dust everywhere. Some appliances were sticky. We advised Georgia Costal and had someone come out but it was a very awkward encounter as the cleaning team was justifying the issues but at least the rental company did something about it. The toaster oven had not been cleaned. We moved it slightly and had a dirty imprint making me think they didn’t even move it to clean it. Overall wouldn’t stay here again for the price it’s listed at. Georgia coastal real tilt was great though!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a wonderful trip for our family! The house was comfortable for the 8 of us. We specifically liked that there were plenty of adult size bedding! Overall the house was in great condition. Our visit was in the height of a pollen bloom so the porch areas were very dusty and not as usable as we had hoped. The pool was excellent! Loved being able to step outside and relax in the pool and sun. The kitchen did not have as much space as I thought from the pictures but was very usable. We cooked most all of our meals here and figured out how to best utilize the facilities. Suggestions would be more porch seating and a deep clean for the porch especially. Also the kitchen needs more than one towel. We had one issue with the gas grill and management handled it immediately. They were also very responsive to any questions we had prior to arrival!

The Giant's House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of 5 adults and 3 small children had a lovely time at this house. My grandchildren named it the Giant's house because of the high ceilings and large features. It fit us very well. We loved the porch and ate on it every night. We loved that each room had a private bath. We elected to heat the pool for the little ones and it was very comfortable. The air temperature was perfect. We found the location helpful as it was near the village and yet beach access was not far. Due to the virus, we stayed at the house a great deal. We did venture out, but not as much as we have in the past. We stayed 10 days, and did not get cabin fever. As far as improvements that could be made, my husband said the grill only half worked and he needed more grill tools. My son in law said he needed to be able to lock the the master bathroom. But we were more than happy with everything else.

We loved the location.. But the house wasn’t as stocked as the rentals we have used in the past.. No trash bags except for the one trash bag in the two indoor trash can by kitchen. They needed to be cleaned. The outside trash bins needed to be cleaned as well. I love the commercial kitchen.. we are use to commercial kitchens.. but No dish towels except for 2 disposable clothes and one dish towel.. exposed wiring in the upstairs walk-in closet. The mattresses in the two bedrooms up front were not comfortable.. nor the ones upstairs.. The king mattress in the main bedroom was wonderful. There is rotting wood on the landing going to the pool area .. good size backyard.. but be aware there is a drop off in the pool to eight feet.. it is an old pool..lots of shade and the water felt wonderful even on hot days.. The skimmer for the pool had a tear in it….would we stay again? Yes, because we would be better prepared as to what is needed to be brought. We never use the soap, shampoo etc in the bathrooms .. but we prefer a stocked kitchen … Management was very curious and responded to our questions.

The Almost Perfect Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our annual St. Simon's trip included 9 adults this year and this house was almost perfect. There was space for everyone, comfy beds, loved the sofa on the back porch, and the pool was a perfect place to cool off after a long day at the beach. Location is an easy walk to village center and we chose to get beach chairs at King and Prince this year which was a quick 5 minute bike ride (plus they had free car parking for those who complained about riding bikes :)) The only thing lacking in this home is a large enough space to gather to eat. With 9 of us, the only place we could have a meal together was on the back screened-in porch. Its a great space but we had to bring in the pool chairs for enough seating, at night we had to bring some lamps outside to help see and on muggy nights, it would have been great to have been able to eat inside. There is very little storage space for grocery items and pots and pans which made for a little bit of disorganization in the kitchen but, oh well, it's St. Simon's and there are great restaurants a couple of blocks away. Half of our stove was not functioning for the entirety of our stay and the refrigerator was woefully inadequate (it tried) and the management company was very responsive to our concerns and did attempt to fix the issue. Also, there is no garage. I'm sure the listing states this but having a place to store some beach items would be a plus as well as an outdoor shower. None of these items would keep me from renting this house again, they just kept it from being perfect.

Wonderful Home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time visiting St Simon's and it was a fantastic trip, in large part due to the home where we stayed. It is spacious, clean and comfortable, and close to everything. We rented bikes and rode all over the island as well as walked into the shopping area and parks. This house is situated just blocks from the beach (with easy parking & bike access). Beaches and town were never crowded. House has high ceilings with 3 large doors that open to the screened back porch, where we stayed most evenings. Pool was cleaned twice during the week. Beautiful setting in a lovely neighborhood that is so convenient to everything without being on a main road. We hope to stay here again.

Everything is great - except the beds

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this house 3 or 4 times. We love the location, the layout of the house and the private pool. Every bedroom has its own private bath. But the master bedroom only has a queen bed and it is extremely uncomfortable. We would expect a king size bed with a better quality mattress in a house this nice. One of the other beds was also uncomfortable according to our guest. If the beds were replaced we would highly recommend this house.

Good Location & neighborhood

I would give this an overall rating of 4. The house was gorgeous & the layout was accommodating, but it does need a deep cleaning. A load of laundry was still in the dryer on arrival & also garbage left over in the poolside garbage can. There was some sort of bugs possibly termites or carpenter ants (as I was told by the realty center) in the master room. They were on the bed & chair in the room. There are multiple room with light bulbs blown. 3 of the bedrooms windows were down approximately 1” from the top. We were able to get them closed and locked. We were only able to clean 1 of the 2 skimmer baskets for the pool because we couldn’t get one of the lids off. The Check in process would be much easier if we didn’t have to pick up keys. An electronic lock would be ideal. Checkin is at 4pm, but you can’t get keys until after 4pm. You also have to return keys by 10:30am to the realty office. This wouldn’t be as big of a deal if we were not pulling a 12ft trailer. Also not a huge deal, but none of the outside receptacles would not work. We never found a fuse box to check as a few of the closets are locked. There is a variety of leftover items left in the cabinets (spices, peanut butter, & various condiments). The top blankets in the bedrooms definitely need a good wash. Because of the location & layout of the home, we would stay here again.

Perfect Vacation Rental
