Nice stay!

Very nice spot with a nice view. Rooms are very clean and in good shape. The owners are very nice and flexibel. Only remark that the pool wasn’t clean at all and the restaurant was temporary closed. If this is open it is a perfect Place to stay.

Lovely accommodation. Anton and his staff are really wonderful. It’s in an ideal location for visiting Hermanus and Stanford, which was a great little town. Also very close by you have some wonderful vineyards including Raka, Stanford Hills and Landskein. Great place, will definitely be back. Thank you.

Amazing weekend away. The service from everyone was great and everything was done with a smile. The room was spacious and had a lovely fireplace that added to the overall wonderful experience. The food was very good and the service in the restaurant top class. Well done to Anton and all his staff for making our weekend a very special one.

Lovely few days

Lovely few days at the Blue Gum Country Estate. Anton and his staff, especially Margaret looked after us wonderfully well. The whole place has a colonial elegance about it. Breakfast options are fab with hot and cold choices and scones with jam and cream are offered in the afternoons. Anton employs an amazing chef and there is always a two or three-course evening meal offered which must be sampled along with some lovely local wines. Bit off the beaten track but the views from our room and the local countryside were so relaxing

Rural retreat, with

Rural retreat out of town, was exactly what we were looking for. Amazing views across your own vinyards. Friendly, welcoming staff provided us with excellent service. Food was fabulous using good cuts of local meats. Buildings a reminder of a different era.

a piece of luxurious peace in every way

The hotel is luxurious -spacious bedrooms with great views ours looking towards the mountains. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one specially janita. Food is 5 star delic. It is a special place to unwind in pure comfort

What a wonderful place to stay!

We had the most wonderful stay at Blue-Gum Country Estate, which I cannot fault. The attention to detail was outstanding and I can't wait to go back again. We stayed in the Mountain View Cottages which were very spacious with a beautiful view over the mountains. The breakfast every morning was beyond expectation. We also ate dinner at the restaurant, which was delicious. The owners were so accommodating to us and so friendly - We will be back.

Fantastic stay

Fantastic three night stay at Blue Gum. We had a mountain view cottage with travel cot for our baby, the room was absolutely beautiful with comfy bed and lovely furnishings. Anton and his team, particularly Margaret, could not do enough to assist us including offering suggestions of what to do in the local area. Breakfast was delicious, with a good selection of buffet options and a cooked special. We also had a lovely child-free evening meal in the restaurant one evening. If we return to the area we will definitely stay at Blue Gum once more

A Piece of Heaven

Blue Gum Country Estate was everything we imagined and more. We have been recommending it to most people we know . The hospitality is typical of a family run business,personal but discreet and the cuisine is great. It is just 10 minutes away from the quaint town of Stanford which is steeped in history. We enjoyed being close to nature with loads of walking and mountain bike trails, not to mention the abundant bird life. The only thing we would do differently next time is stay longer!

ein Country Estate, das hält was es verspricht

Wir waren für 3 Nächte in jeweils einer Deluxe-Suite im Blue Gum Estate & haben jede Minute dort genossen! Individuell eingerichtete & großzügige Zimmer (wir hatten die Lion-Suite & die Elephant-Suite). Sehr gutes Frühstück & Dinner im Estate. Nettes Personal, wenn auch manchmal etwas "scheu" , wenn es um den Umgang mit Europäern geht, aber dafür sehr herzlich. Ein Management, das sich kümmert und nachfragt und eine Lage als Country Estate, die gerade jetzt im südafrikansichen Frühling mit einem Meer voll unterschiedlicher blühender Pflanzen begeistert. Wir kommen wieder ( wie schon 3 mal bisher zuvor).
