“We fell in love with this property and wish we could have extended our stay for at least a few more days, but we had other plans to move on to. The beautiful home is set upon a hill with amazing views of the countryside. We were able to really disconnect, and traveled to some local places to sightsee within nature, and into town for some dinner (plenty of options in the neighboring villages). “Cottage is well equipped and hosts left us welcome items such as fresh bread and milk on arrival . Good facilities in the kitchen and bathroom and good heating ! Everything was very clean. The main bedroom is very spacious - almost like a sitting room in itself . Village pubs good for food and village shop nearby for essentials . Easy access to local attractions and the coast by car and also info in cottage of walks directly from the village. Easy to communicate with the hosts by text with……

“This apartment is tucked away on a nice quiet street, with a friendly pub half a street down. The level of cleanliness in the property was some of the best I have seen; you can clearly see that the owner cares about her business and customers! We had a lovely stay and got lots of activities done, from a boat tour in seahouses (40min drive) to see seals and dolphins, to an audio tour of warkworth castle (10min drive) and many other things along the way. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back!……

“The cottage was perfect in every way”

“Marley's retreat is a lovely snug apartment in a little village just outside Whitley Bay. The apartment is well catered and very dog friendly which was brilliant for us as a family of 4 plus 2 dogs. The village has 2 really lovely pubs, with good food options and the roaring open fire in the Old Fat Ox was very appreciated in the freezing temperatures we had when visiting. Max who owns the apartment and runs the shop just a few doors down was lovely and accomodating and happy to help with any……

“Beautiful place .Great for walking .The only thing is the car is full with bikes and a dog and when leaving the property you have to take the rubbish bag with you to drop it of at the bottom of the hill which for the price I have never done this before ”

“Lovely comfy cottage located in an ideal location for accessing Northumberland Coastline and Moors. Local amenities are great with the town of Morpeth less than 10 minutes away. The pub 100m from the cottage is a great local pub with good food and friendly staff. The quality of everything in the cottage is great, the hot tub and log burner are also fantastic and allowed for a very relaxing stay.We will definitely be back in the future.”
