Emerald Lodge 5308 is a gem of a unit within the highly sought after Trappeur's Crossing Resort. Ideal for 3 couples or small families, this condo is only available for short term rental during a brief period of the ski season. As a result, you have a unit which has seen very little wear and tear. Purchased pre-construction, this unit was selected for its location within the building. It is top floor and facing the ski resort, giving it vaulted ceilings and beautiful views. The condo has top notch quality throughout, and the development has a fantastic set of amenities for you to enjoy. At this complex, you'll find every amenity you could want, from underground parking to tennis courts to the full fitness center. Enjoy weekly parties with appetizers, wine & beer, bask in the warmth of the outdoor fireplaces, grill some steaks on your balcony while taking in amazing views, relax in top of the line luxurious bedding & furnishings. From Wi-Fi to A/C, this condo has it all! All of this in a wonderful location, in the heart of the mountain village. It's a quick & easy walk to Gondola Square or anywhere else in the mountain village, and the ski season private shuttle makes getting anywhere in town easy and free. Please read on for more details.

The Property:
The primary portion of this condo is one large open space that combines the dining room and kitchen with the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and more, plus it features high quality finishes, cabinets and appliances. The dining area adjoins the kitchen to the living room and seats 6 in comfort. The living room also seats 6 in comfort, with matching furniture surrounding a large HDTV, gas fireplace, and wine fridge. Off the living room is a large covered deck with dining table and beautiful views. Off the dining room is a mud room area with built in storage cubbies, coat racks, bench, under-bench boot storage, plus a coat closet and laundry closet.

The 3 bedrooms are all a good large size, have mountain views, and with King or Queen beds, they are comfortable for couples, singles, and kids alike. Bedroom 1 has a King bed, reading chair, HDTV, and a large bathroom suite. The bathroom is a 5 piece that includes dual sinks, granite counters, a large walk in shower, and a big jacuzzi tub. Bedroom 2 also has a King bed, HDTV, and private bathroom. This second bathroom includes dual sinks, granite counters, and a large walk in shower. Bedroom 3 has a Queen bed and HDTV. The third bathroom is right across the hall, and includes a single sink granite vanity plus a bathtub/shower combo.

This development is one of very few places in Steamboat Springs where there are pools and hot tubs available year round, but that is just one example of the luxurious feel of this property. Air Conditioning is another, and again, something that is not commonly found here in Steamboat Springs. You may not want to leave this resort location! There are 4 pools & 10 hot tubs to choose from, including both indoor and outdoor facilities. Other on-site amenities include the day spa, tennis courts, a sauna, fitness center, guest lounge with coffee and tea bar, an outdoor fire pit, grilling & dining areas, the list goes on! The clubhouse has locker rooms, newspapers, and of course the concierge and 24 hour front desk. During the ski season, the clubhouse hosts twice weekly "Apres Ski" parties, which are catered with food, wine & beer.

Location:
The location of Emerald Lodge is really great. You'll be within easy walking distance of the Gondola, Ticket Office, Ski School, restaurants, bars, shops, and even groceries. Right out back is the Bear Creek Trail, a paved path leading directly to Gondola Square, which is only about 300 yards away. This walk is quiet and pleasant, with very little up or down. Summer guests will love how this trail connects you directly to the hiking and biking trails of the Routt National Forest as well as the Yampa River. Even in winter season, it is an easy walk to the activity of Gondola Square, particularly if you've stored your skis at the Gondola. Ask us about discounted rentals with free storage! If you don't want to walk to the slopes, you don't have to! The free private shuttle service available during ski season will whisk you to and from the slopes, as well as anywhere else in town!

Arrival, Access, and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you. We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions, and answers to any specific questions you might have. Accessing this property requires no stairs whatsoever. From the underground garage you can take the elevator up to the unit. Parking? Well, first consider that in ski season, guests who stay here don't really need one. If you do have a car, though, you'll benefit from having a reserved underground parking spot as well as covered and uncovered outdoor overflow parking. Please note, trailers are not allowed per HOA rules. If you will have a trailer please contact us before booking to discuss off site parking options.

** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Loved our stay. Excellent property and unit, as advertised, well stocked and comfortable. Short walk to base village, shuttle buses frequent and easy. Some confusion with overflow parking details, but property manager and property front desk across the street was very responsive and helpful in clarifying.
