「Everything was clean and comfortable. Cozy little cabin was perfect for 2 adults and our dog. Loved the rustic feel. Also we liked the town and neighbors. I wouldn’t describe property as waterfront though a small river channel is visible. Beach access is a quick drive. Appreciate the communication w/ the property owner. 」

「Loved the rustic cottage and peaceful river just out front. Cottage quite clean but I was surprised to find that someone had put some plates away dirty so I washed all the dishes we used before using. Otherwise a very enjoyable place to be.」

「Overall everything was perfect. The weather, location, cabin by the river, & very friendly neighbors staying in other cabins. We will visit again. 」

「We had the best time during our stay! Cabin is comfortable, has every kitchen amenity you could wish for, & the free access to kayaks was a huge plus for us! All of the mattresses were super comfortable. Cindy was a great host & Poe, her dog, was the sweetest! The location can't be beat! We enjoyed kayaking the Au Train River, Brownstone Inn for dinner, Bay Furnace for rock hunting, Capt Ron's Whitefish truck in Munising is a must & Au Train Grocery has the best pasties! We hope to return next...

「Dear friends,Jim and I really enjoyed our stay at Turtle Cove. We rested, cooked fancy meals, read books and enjoyed the lake.I promised to let you know if there were items that needed attention. We noted the following:1. Lower corner cupboard of the SW corner of the kitchen needs a new hinge.2.The vacuum filter needs replacing or a good cleaning.3. Window mechanism in the SW corner of the living room needs repair. Some windows do not have handles.It would be nice to have at the cabin:1....

「This was exactly what my family and I needed to have a wonderful stay in the U.P. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed (washer/dryer were so nice to have also!!)We enjoyed fishing on the dock (caught quite a few fish) and my kids even completed a puzzle to kill some time in the evening. There weren’t really any neighbors during our time there, which made for a quiet and peaceful stay. Only complaint the amount of mosquitoes outside the cottage. Otherwise, this was by far the nicest...

「Wonderful place for family stay. Pristine beach, beautiful views. Very well stocked just as advertised. Highly recommended.」

「The place was cute and cozy. It was very conveniently located too. Host did allow us an early check in which was helpful as we drove from lower MI and were estimating arrival and made better timing than we anticipated. Family loved the DQ across the street too. 」

「The place was very cute and very welcoming. I loved how they had things labeled everywhere so you knew where things were or what to do the pictures on the website. Don’t do it justice. It’s much cuter in person. We really enjoyed it. We were only there two days, but if we were to ever come back up that way, we would definitely stay there again And I’m gonna be telling my kids about it so that when they go up to go snowmobiling, hopefully they can stay there.」

"The first night I was arranged to stay behind the elevator, which made me feel uncomfortable and vibrated. Because it was a standard double room with two beds, it was better for me to sleep in the other bed. Since I had placed two reservations, the girl at the front desk said that I had to move to the room downstairs for the second night. I said it was inconvenient, and she said there was no other way because the room was fully booked. The next day I asked another woman if I could not move to the first floor, and she said yes. I checked and found that the room rate I paid to Expedia for the second night was more expensive than the first night. Why did the hotel move me to a pet-friendly room on the first floor? It would be very inconvenient for me to move back and forth, which would affect my schedule."
