The good:
The staff was wonderful. The housekeeper was above and beyond friendly and helpful and the manager immediately reached out after I responded to an Expedia survey with vouchers for 20% off at the restaurant.
The breakfast spread was terrific and varied, and there was an espresso machine available the rest of the day for free use.
The neighborhood was charming and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see or do.
The less good, based on our being two people on an extended business trip:
- Internet was too spotty to rely on, a problem for business travelers such as us.
- I wish we had realized that the "standard" double was so small and minimally appointed. The room was tiny - we had to take turns walking around the bed - and literally without a surface or dresser on which to put our clothing (my boyfriend put his under the bed and I used the only chair in the room). There was neither a refrigerator nor tea kettle – items we are used to having to make business travel more comfortable and affordable. We were forced, instead, to eat all our meals in restaurants, an unexpected inconvenience and expense.
