「Lovely cottage which is situated close to Durham City centre.Helpful, friendly host, who was on hand when we had any problems. Also, a very good Italian restaurant next door.」

「The barn is situated on a family farm with the owner, Wendy, living in a neighbouring property. We were made to feel incredibly welcome by Wendy, a lovely welcome pack with cake, biscuits and fudge and even treats for our dog. Nothing is too much trouble and the cottage is equipped with all you could need and more. Although there were only two of us when we travelled, it is very spacious and would be ideal for a larger family with ample parking right outside and a lovely courtyard garden area.」

「The cabin was in a fantastic, secluded and natural position. Having no tv aloud you to really switch off and get back to nature. Bird lovers paradise. The cabin was small but perfectly formed and with the log burner, was nice and cosy while it was cold and raining outside! Being pet friendly, we were able to take the dog to enjoy it all too. 「Lovely cosy cottage. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.We loved the wildlife and the spectacular views. So peaceful and a very short drive to Barnard castle. If I'm to be picky I would say a heater would be a good idea in the conservatory for colder months. The cottage itself was really warm. I can honestly say there is nothing to complain about. We enjoyed every minute. Thank you.」

The cottage itself is extremely welcoming - with an open fire, which was very handy because we were there in February. It's also well equipped with just about everything you'll need for a comfortable stay.The village in which it's located is lovely and serene. The people are very friendly. And the surrounding area is stunningly beautiful....
