“Room very dark due to poor lighting.
Had chicken red Thai curry in the restaurant however there was large chucks of aubergine which were quite bitter. I have never had a Thai dish with that and wasn’t expecting it.
There was an odour from the floor too which wasn’t pleasant. ”

“It is difficult to fault Kilkea Castle as every aspect of the property impressed. The little things therefore matter and small faults in maintenance, which should be dealt with in a luxury property, tend to stand out more. However, that is digging into the fine detail. So, first impressions carried through from first stepping inside with a warm welcome, the engaging housekeeping staff and superbly professional dining/breakfast room staff.
