A beautiful and elegant hotel, close to the theatre and park area. It’s short walk into town by the main road, or a beautiful walk by the water. Very friendly staff, who are eager to please. I got the impression that the staff are not only happy, but proud of the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom. There is also an immaculate pool and hot tub with a spa-like feel.

I hesitate to rate it too highly or the secret will be out, because we just stepped into an oasis of perfect service, accommodation and fine dining. I'd forgotten that you don't need to travel into a big city to find this level of luxury - no request was an imposition and in fact, the staff went above and beyond to recognize our special occasion. The tasteful festive decor put us in a great mood for Christmas shopping - found something for everyone along the main street (I'd forgotten how fun it is to shop local and in person instead of from my keyboard). Hope to make this a regular destination!

We had the best experience in a long time. The Bruce has many subtle, thoughtful touches that have long been forgotten - courtesy, respectful, a cookie hotline, turn down service with slippers, subdued night lighting in the bathroom, excellent food, best butternut squash veloute ever, room was made up without asking, a wipe for my Ipad. a taxi service that picked us up at the front door of the theatre. Too many touches to remember. There was NOTHING I could think of that wasn't excellent.

This is a beautiful property conveniently located just a short walk away from two of the Stratford Festival theatres. There is an evident commitment to quality and excellent service throughout The Bruce. Staff are friendly and efficient in everything they do. We stayed there for two nights and enjoyed the relaxed yet refined ambience very much.

Easy short walk to the Festival theatre. Beatifully appointed hotel, marvelous room, good restaurant, lovely grounds, attentive service. Couldnt ask for much more. I would strengthen the coffee brew, perhaps offer ham is an alternative to bacon in the breakfast offering, but that's it!

Excellent accommodations at The Bruce. Our suite was spacious, clean and included a small, private patio. My vegan dining preferences were not an issue at all...in fact, the chef created an incredible Vegan evening meal just for me! I was extremely impressed by the quality of service.

We booked this hotel for our 40th wedding anniversary which included seeing shows at Stratford. It is a beautiful property on the way into the main downtown of Stratford and is secluded from the main street. We were greeted by 5 staff, which was a bit of overkill, and two of them walked us to our room to show us how to find the fridge, safe and light switches. This was really unnecessary as we are perfectly capable of finding our own way. The room was large and very comfortable with a quiet patio and well appointed bathroom. We were welcomed with two delicious butter tarts and had access to the 'cookie hotline' in case we got hungry during our stay. We took advantage of the pool and hot tub, which were comfortably warm. There was a sulphur smell which may have been from the chemicals used to keep the pool clean. Breakfast was included in our room and it was delicious. The servings were extremely large and we felt badly about sending so much uneaten back. Next time we will make our portion size request before ordering. The French toast was delicious and the hot sauce made in house complimented the eggs perfectly. The lattes were delicious especially with some of the local maple syrup added. Home made jam was also delicious. We would certainly consider returning to this property as the higher cost does ensure superior attention.

I have no idea how to explain this. I have travelled a lot for work and pleasure over the years. Each time I try and find somewhere that has class and luxury. If there were 10 stars to give The Bruce Hotel, I would give it 15. I have never been treated so well. The service is to say the least shockingly over the top! The extras they add that are not shown when you book are unbelievable. The rooms pictures do not even come close to showing how amazing it is! The price you pay per night is well within reason for what you get. This place is better than any of the 5 star resorts I’ve been too!

The rooms and building and environment and service at The Bruce are top notch. Im sad to say my dining experiences were not so great. Dining room good but not great - eggs I ordered for breakfast one day came half cooked half completely raw.

Their service is excellent. However, landscaping is very unimaginative and colourless. The TV set is next to impossible to operate it's so technically complex, whereby you can't even access any TV Channels. Also no rental of any up to date movies. Instead one must acquire DVDs from the concierge from a list of old movies. Rather antiquated and backward for a prestigious hotel.

My wife and l stayed at the Bruce Hotel for our anniversary. 25 room hotel all wheel chair accessible. Sheltered parking. We stayed in a Large spacious room, king bed, large bathroom,and extra seating area with bar/mini fridge area too. Breakfast incld. Short distance to downtown shopping/dining and 3 min. walk to the Stratford Theater and Theater park. Would definitely stay there again.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed at. Friendly attentive staff, well decorated rooms with comfortable beds...the duvet was too heavy/hot for us...didn't bother mentioning it as it was only a one night stay but they probably would have swapped it out. Even the hallway and reception area and dining room were impeccably decorated. Nice small touches like a "cookie hotline" to deliver cookies to your room, and an amazing array of board games and card games for the use of guests. Breakfast in the dining room was decent to good but the hash brown style potatoes were way too salty. Will certainly be staying here again next summer for our annual theatre visit. Also, walking distance to a few of the theatres, so very well located.
