Found 3 old, large blood stains on the bed sheets. Luckily we had 2 beds. Air conditioner kept turning itself off after a few minutes. Piece of gum was stuck to the cieling. Had a shower and the bathtub doesnt drain, was standing in two inches of water the entire time. After coming inside, went to use the hand sanitizer and it was empty, looked at the front desk clerk and said its empty, she replied with "I know", but didn’t fill it. We went to the pool, the heater was broken and the pool was freezing. Had to wait over 30 mins for the sauna to heat up and when we finally got in there, there was a large bug crawling along the woodwork. It looked like a cockroach but we didnt stick around to find out. When we left the next day there was broken glass in the parking lot next to our car. In short, we will not be staying here again.

Affordable but run down property. The room coffee maker was not cleaned from the previous guest and toilets do not flush well. It seems to have a good location but I do not know Sudbury well enough to say.

It is a good hotel a decent one. Need to improve the proper signage to turn it on the sauna (it's invisible) gym equiment some are not working w/o any notice, no water but there are cups. In the lobby there's water but no cups, Ac is a little bit noisy. Over all it's okay

Staff was friendly at check in, pool area had a large amount of hair in pool and all around pool deck, towel hamper was overflowing with used towels and water level was almost too low for the skimmer basket. There was a heaping pile of garbage bags on our room floor when we got off the elevator that had an odour. In a rough area of town with many drug users on the streets Around the hotel.

We did not end up staying at this hotel as my children and I did not feel safe upon arrival. I hadn’t realized the property was located in downtown Sudbury, and when I asked about safety, the staff member simply said, “Well, it’s downtown Sudbury.” The parking lot and main entrance are shared with other businesses, and when we arrived there were several individuals clearly in distress due to substance use. The front entrance area was littered with garbage, and the lobby had an unpleasant smell. Inside, we noticed a stretcher by the front desk and claw marks on the elevator doors. As a parent traveling with young kids, my gut feeling and observations told me this was not a safe or welcoming environment for us. We chose to leave and stay at a different hotel outside of downtown. I would not recommend this hotel for families.

The pool is fairly small but was ok. In our fifth floor hallway, one of the handles/locks wasn't there and there was a big hole like someone had kicked it in. Bathtub was had mould around on the grout and was somewhat dirty. I had two children and my adult kid with me. We slept there, and left as soon as we could in the morning. Would not stay there again.

Typically I have not minded the Clarion however, this time it seemed worse than ever. The room I had (517) is a room I received for the third time weirdly. It has urine stains on the wallpaper beside the toilet, which we had mentioned a year ago when we stayed and still it has never been addressed. The curtains have tears in them as did our neighbors room, and the room smelled terribly of cigarettes. We had to open the windows to air out the room, we were unable to switch rooms as they were booked solid. The room down the hall had the door handle smashed out of that room with a gaping hole, and just overall things are looking quite rundown and in need of attention .

Not enough towels for my family, should have had a minimum of 4 towels in hotel room. Hotel has a pool but doesn't supply towels. We had to use 2 room towels to dry all of us off after the pool because when we called down to the front desk and the response was "we don't have any clean towels" - not "I'll have housekeeping bring some as soon as they are available" - just no clean towels. We went to bed having not showered after the pool which is not a normal practice for us but we were left with no choice. We called in the morning for additional towels and housekeeping wasn't in by 8 am. Was not provided an ETA on housekeeping or the towels... But was told they would arrive at some point. We don't have all day to wait. We had plans and things to do so we ultimately went without showering at all. Even though the towels eventually arrived when we were leaving. Ice machines out of order, no place to get water, vending machine card readers disabled or just missing. We will NEVER stay again.

There is a homelessness encampment innthe neighboring parking lot. Pool was closed for maintenance ( understandable but unfortunate). Hotel is very dated and not located in a great area.

The property was dirty with cigarette butts all over the ground by front door. Not appreciated with children and pets - can you move the smoking area further away from building?? The room was dirty, bedding felt gritty with little blood stains on sheets (please check for bed bugs!), floor sticky. We didn’t feel safe to leave our belongings in our vehicle in the parking lot. Couldn’t leave fast enough and will not return.
