Great place to stay in the old town of Sukhothai

This is a lovely place to stay. Centrally located on a quiet street. Staff are friendly. And amenities such as the free bikes to borrow (i didn't) and the nonstop coffee, tea and fruit are a wonderful touch.

Breakfast: a wide variety of Thai and English breakfast Room: clean, the floor deck is wood so it gives a creaking sound when you walk, the wall is thin sounds can be heard Daily Free 24hrs cofee, tea, water and fruits which we great after a long walk in the historical park Free bicycle to reach the Sukhothai historical park, also the hotel is within walking distance to old city, night street food, restaurants, 7-11, and the historical park too. Air conditioning - good with blanket to keep warm Weather was cold in the morning and night: wonderful time in Jan Con: toilet bowl seat was broken but still useable, bed is comfortable but medium hard, old sewage system which gives out ammonia smell from sewage Hotel operator and reception: was kind and helpful Transport: no grab or taxi but on the main road there is a reliable taxi company which you can use

Convenient location, just a short bike ride to the park with plenty of dining options in the vicinity. The room was comfortable with good AC, breakfast was a bit cold but the free use of bikes made exploring Sukhothai a breeze.

In the garden of good

On a residential side street from the main road leading to the national park. Close to attractions, restaurants, markets, etc. a pleasant stay. Nice Thai breakfast.

Close to Sukhothai historic park and bus terminal. Waking distance to visit the park in the morning and night light show again. Amazing Night Light Show only Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Free bike is very useful to visit nearby local historic site in the afternoon.

Great stay. Wished we had more time in Sukhothai. Hotel offered bikes but we didn’t have time to utilize them due to our schedule. Hotel is a little tired. Could use a few updates but was in a good location. Beds were quite hard but clean. Breakfast was provided with lots of options.

I have traveled to Sukhothai more than a dozen times over the decades. This time we chose to stay at Sukhothai Garden because of the great reviews. They are spot on. Sukhothai Garden is a lovely, family owned place near the main museum and a very short walk from the Historical Park entrance. Simple, clean rooms. Abundant and varied breakfast foods. Water and some fruit available throughout the day. Free bicycles to use around Sukhothai. Joy (the receptionist) and small staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to every need that we had. Great value for the price. We were here in the middle of the cool season, so I don’t know how the facilities and AC hold up to hot and rainy season conditions. But this short, two day stay with friends visiting from the United States was magical.

Welcoming, homey convenience in superb location

After a bumpy start with some difficulty communicating over the phone to arrange transfer from airport and missing the driver by a few moments, we still arrived early in the morning way before checkin. They were gracious and accommodating and fed us breakfast while the room was prepared and we quickly got settled and were able to have the full day to explore the spectacular sites. They have many bikes to load to guests to explore the area with ease. While only a 10 minute walk to the gate, the overall area is immense and after thinking we would rent a golf cart, we needed more time and you couldn’t take on the public streets, so alas we needed a bicycle afterall. Great location with 2 7-11s within a short walk and a wonderful night market along the temple waterfront. Rooms are not well insulated from heat or noisy neighbors, but the neighborhood is generally quiet, less the blaring music from one across the street ending before 8pm. A/C cools very well and all was very clean.

We had a great stay at Sukhothai Garden Hotel in Old Town. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and everything was very clean. The rooms are small, but perfectly fine for a short stay when you’re mostly out exploring. The bathroom is an all-in-one situation — toilet, shower, and sink share the same space — so after a shower, everything is wet. It didn’t bother us, but more pampered travelers might need a moment to adjust. On the plus side, the shower had excellent water pressure. Breakfast was a wonderful surprise. There were several hot dishes (eggs, rice, curry, meats, soups), plus coffee, tea, cereal, toast, sweets, and fresh fruit. A really strong start to the day. The grounds are compact but pleasant, and the free bikes were a huge bonus for exploring the nearby historical park. Only real downside: the bed is extremely firm. Not a deal breaker, but it might as well have been a very enthusiastic box spring. For the price and amazing location, it was absolutely worth it. 8/10 — we’d stay again.

Staff stayed late for us to check in, was very welcoming and kind. A couple things were broken in the room but fixed immediately. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Close to historical park, restaurants & shopping. Would stay again!

Staff was very friendly and quite helpful. Good breakfast in the morning and free bicycles to ride around, make this place an all around great place to stay. I would certainly stay there again. All of that and a great location too!
