The patio was not clean, garbage lying around and filthy chair cushions, and two of the three bathrooms were not cleaned. The kitchen stove and fridge were dirty. The host said that it was hard to get cleaners in that area.」

「Our reservations were canceled after we had received confirmation notice and instructions on how to enter the property. We were sent a welcome notice from the owner, but later told that the renters in the property wanted to extend their stay, so we were left out in the cold. We ended up having to rent motel rooms while waiting for our credit card to be released after we had been charged for the stay. We ended up in motel rooms for 12 nights instead of a house we had reserved.」

「2 TVs in the living room: one didn't work and one only got a few channels. Need to have soft, fluffy towels and a sheet of guidelines that tell what to do when checking out. Strip beds? etc.」

「I enjoyed my stay here. It is a very nice home. You can walk right out back and fish or just sit by the water. Water view when indoors is nice. Host was very responsive. Please know that you cannot take fish remains to the dump. They have signs, and they told us they do not accept them. When we asked how we should dispose of them, they told us they didn't know, but recommended we dig a hole. So, that was interesting. You only have access to the public dock, which isn't far. 「Great location on Lake Marion. Dock is set up for fishing and we caught a few big ones. House itself is exactly as described. Maybe not the Ritz, but it's Lake Marion. It's perfect for what it is. Very nice screened in porch looking out over the water. Almost a low country feel to the property and views. About 5 min from 1-95 and 10 min from Santee Food Lion. Bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was equipped appropriately. Great location for a golf weekend as well - plenty of decent courses...
