“When I booked the room, there was no notice that there would be an extra fee for pets, and it clearly said pets friendly. When I took my dog to the hotel, the front desk actually charged me a pet fee, which was incredible! The reason was that I had to pay if I booked on Expedia, but if I booked directly with them, I wouldn't have to. It was totally unreasonable.
