"Staying at the Grand Hotel was a privilege, it is a wonderful hotel with warm, kind and friendly staff. The rooms are well appointed with a smart TV, very comfortable beds and a Nespresso machine! The tap water tastes so clean and fresh here. There is daily housekeeping which was respectfully and conveniently timed and done well. The bedroom and ensuite shower room were perfectly clean throughout our stay. The windows open, and the radiator heat is adjustable, for those like us that are sensitive to heat or cold and we slept so well here compared to other stops on our trip. There was a little noise with the window open on a Friday and Saturday night with people returning home from nights out, but it didn't last long and didn't bother us. There was also a miscommunication about food services available on a Sunday (the info in the lift wasn't updated) but we were sent on the right path to get a wonderful pizza a short walk away so it was all fine and we couldn't be happier with our time spent here. We will be back in Spring!"

Parking right outisde of my room using patio door to unload and load my rental was great. I ended up coming backnto this place for 3 nights consecutively. Each time the staff were like youre back. "Lovely traditional hotel on the main road to Oslo. We were given a friendly warm welcome by the owner and even though we were the only guests (apart from grazing sheep) it felt cosy. "

"had a business trip for 5 days in the local area found this very charming hotel. Still a little off season but was made welcome and had a very nice time. Limited choice for evening meal but all meals where very nice and authentic room was very clean and warm with great view across the fjord. Town is small but has a fuel station and supermarket. A very nice place to have a stop over or longer stay. would stay again. "
