Overall we were pleased with our accommodations, but there were a few issues that were not addressed during our stay. It appears there was miscommunication with the cleaning service, therefore the house was a complete mess when we arrived. We spent the first hour and a half cleaning the house from top to bottom. This isn’t great, but was made worse by the current COVID circumstances and our desire to feel safe from possible infections left behind. I reached out to the property manager via the app, but never heard back until a few days after we had left the place. The washer and drier barely worked and there were some lightbulbs out, but there’s a supermarket nearby where we were able to get two replacement bulbs. All of that said, once the property manager did contact me, they refunded me the cleaning fee. To be honest, I would have expected a small refund given the poor state of the hoise upon our arrival, but I’m glad they at least refunded me the cleaning fee. I venture to say this was a one time issue that hopefully isn’t the norm. If they keep the house clean and make some small minor repairs throughout, the house fits the bill for small family gatherings. Having a boat slip right out the back is super convenios. A short walk to the beach kept the young kids happy. And a short 5 minute drive led us to a place to rent jet skis and a boat. For all those reasons, despite the state of the hoise upon arrival, I still give it 4 stars overall.
