I chose this hotel through "Hotels.com" because I wanted to be close to Split, but it was not very clear that it was necessary to take a ferry. I get advantage of this message to tell you that you consider me "Slver" but at these holidays we did everything with you, at least we reserved more that 15 nights at different hotels, so you should consider us as "gold". On the other hand the lack of refund of this night is, I repeat, a pity because we are so good costumers and at the origin it was a lack of explanation that it was in an island and needed a ferry. Some days later I had again a very bad experience at the Amanthos Living Solothum in Grenchen Switzerland from the 10th to 11th August, because we never got the code to get in and we stay hours outside. The risponsible of this hotel (who fortunately we could contact later thanks to the security agent who saw us outside through the cameras) told us that it was your fault because "Expedia is refusing to send the messages over the chat" and that's why we didn't get the code. Anyway it was two times dissapointed and I think we deserve explanations and even a commercial gesture or a refund."

"When we were looking to book a house for our vacation, we thought our requirements were impossible: a secluded place to enjoy family, but walkable to everything. Then we found Vacation House Šumica! This house is a 5 minute walk from everything - groceries, bakery, fishmarket, restaurants. But once you walk thru the garden door you feel like you are in a secluded getaway with olive and fruit trees, 6 different seating areas and a pool to soak in. The house itself is well equipped, with a layout that allowed each of our 3 generations to have their own floor. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back. "

"Starting with the positive, this hotel truly shines when it comes to its proximity to the beach and local attractions. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. However, our recent stay was unfortunately marred by a series of issues that impacted our experience. In one of our rooms, we encountered a clogged shower and a broken air conditioning unit, making for an uncomfortable stay. The refrigerator was also noticeably dirty upon arrival. In the second room, the AC unit was leaking. These maintenance issues are simply unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Considering we booked this hotel specifically for its beach amenities, we were severely let down, for two out of our four days, the hotel ran out of beach towels by 10 AM, with staff unable to provide any estimate for when more would be available. Furthermore, the hotel's beach chairs were completely claimed by 5 AM every morning, forcing us to pay for external chairs daily. This completely negated one of the primary reasons we chose this hotel. To compound these problems, the hotel staff seemed indifferent to our concerns. When we brought these issues to their attention, while they addressed them, there was a distinct lack of empathy or urgency to resolve them. A more friendly and proactive approach from the staff would have gone a long way in mitigating our frustration. While the location is undeniably a major draw, the multitude of problems was notable.
