Super private and great views

Great house! The rooms, kitchen, outdoor space and pool were top notch. The walk to the beach is 5 minutes (seems longer) but the cart at the house was a welcome addition. Thank you for that!

Spring Break 2024

Great House and location for the budget conscious. House is in a great gated community far away from the crowds. House could use a little updating and attention to some of the deferred maintenance on the home. Pool is not heated just the hot tub. House sleeps 10 guest so they could use a few seats in the living area to accommodate 10 guest. I would recommend this property to friends and family and would rent again myself.

Great spot - poor management

Our stay was a good one. Love the location and views. Our 3 star review has To do with the elevator not working and despite following the property managements instructions for getting a repair it never worked properly the entire stay. We also had an ant issue that we ended up dealing with ourselves.

Nice visit but has many issues

First, we did have a good vacation. The location was very nice, close to the beach and the marsh. However, there are many issues with the house that I will list: 1. The pool filter is extremely loud. It's the first thing you notice when arriving and the sound can be heard everywhere in the house. 2. The pool is not heated. If you're visiting outside of peak summer, the pool will not be usable 3. The TV is terrible. It must be over a decade old and is not a smart TV. The picture is fuzzy with glare and very difficult to see. 4a. This is not a house made for cooks. 4b. There is not enough counter space. 4c. The cookware is second rate. 4d. There is no good cutting boards. 4e. There are no cooking spices. 5. We stayed for a week and were giving sheets in bags. The beds were not made, so expect to make at least five beds when you arrive. 6. There is no soap in the bathrooms. 7. The electric grill is bearly usable. It does not get hot. 8. Every wash came out smelling like mildew. The washer and dryer need to be cleaned. 9. The hottub water was cloudy and questionable 10. There is no sun umbrellas, so if you are fair skinned, there's no place to hide 11. The neighbors across the street in the yellow house were spying on us. It made us a bit uneasy. 12. The upstairs bathroom fan is broken and makes a horrible sound when turned on. 13. The outside shower cannot be locked from inside.

Breathtaking views at this private oasis! We loved the beach, the kitchen was stocked and we enjoyed evenings in the hot tub. 5 star!!

It was a nice stay.. but cleaning needs to improve

We had a really nice time so do not let that deter you. I hope this is more informational to step up the cleaning game. We had to wipe everything down after finding hairs sand and dirt in fridge on countertops and in tubs.. that aside however it really is a great property! Great location you are on the secluded side of the beach . You can literally walk miles on the beach which we did every morning. Some people complained of the walk to the beach but honestly it was not bad, I think overall from the house to the water it was half a mile. The house was great and the amenities were perfect for our stay with the pool especially. To clarify everything else was clean like the bed linens , rooms etc. we had a great stay and would recommend

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay very much. The views were amazing. The house suited our needs perfectly. The living room sofa and one chair were not as clean as I would have wanted, but overall the house was clean, spacious and was the right place for us to quarantine. We would certainly come again!

Love the house

Great home with the most beautiful views ever! Lots of room. Kitchen well stocked. Loved that linens are included! Like previously mentioned, the beach access is a bit of a walk especially with little ones. Glad we had the pool! We sure enjoyed it! Would suggest having some updated chairs around the pool. We only had 2 and they were the hard plastic ones so we used our own beach chairs instead. Overall, a great stay! Would rent again!’

Endless views family vacation

Views were amazing. Comfortable home. Pool, hot tub and elevator were nice features. A bit of a walk to the beach with the access across the street permanently closed. We brought a golf cart which helped quite a bit to get to the beach walkway. Kitchen and floors were not very clean. A second refrigerator in the laundry room for drinks would be great! Ice maker made ice very slowly. We had to buy several bags of ice all week. The master bath room was HUGE but the shower was tiny. 4th bedroom was small. Beach was absolutely beautiful!!

Endless Views and endless fun

Beautiful private lot. Name is spot on as the views were 360 degrees of marsh and ocean. Two king sized masters made bedroom options great for everyone and the kids love the bunk room. Second floor is perfect for games and cocktail hour while dinner is made. Nice clean pool. If you haven't been to Holden Beach and like going someplace family friendly and centered around the actual beach check out the Holden Beach West neighborhood. We loved this house and the HBW location.

Very private and impressive views of Intercoastal waterway

Like all vacation houses on Holden Beach, there was a little wear and tear but nothing extraordinary. Our stay was enhanced by perfect weather the entire time we were there during 4th of July week. The pool temperature was perfect every day of our stay. We never used the hot tub so not sure how it performs. Large bathrooms off the 2 master bedrooms, plenty of kitchen space to cook. The only slight issue was the beach access walkway was boarded up across the road between the neighbors houses so we had to walk the road for the next one down which was fine for us and added to our adventure. No one in our group complained and we all benefited from the extra exercise. We have been coming to Holden Beach since the early 90's, so we have stayed at a lot of houses. What really stands out is the quietness in the evening and night. As an added benefit, the fireworks were super easy to see from the back balcony on the 4th of July holiday!

The views of the ocean and intercoastal are great from the main living area.

The house is decorated in very light and “beachy” colors with lots of light from the windows. Since it is an inverted construction the elevator is a great advantage. Loved the pool and hot tub too. However, access to the beach is not close; you have to go seven houses to the left to use the public access. There’s supposed to be public access to the right but the houses across the street have built walkways that block the public access so it doesn’t exist. This was very disappointing!

Good house. location is OK. Great views

Here are the pros and cons of this property PROS quiet beach Amazing views Plenty of space Semi private location Beds were comfortable. CONS elevator is not for use by renters which is a little ridiculous. There are a lot of stairs to get to the top floor. Hot tub works but all the power jets are not functional Beach access is across the street but it’s completely a pain in the butt to use it because you have to walk around the pond/water area Carpets need steam cleaned. Some good pee stains on carpets in upstairs master.

Not ready for prime time

The views of the marsh are spectacular and the hot tub is nice. Be forewarned, however, that the kitchen is not stocked with any basics, like salt and pepper or anything else. There are plenty of pots and pans (mostly the ubiquitous beach house discarded Teflon, but some nice pots). The couch is the living room is dingy, but all other furnishings are fine. The dishwasher works extremely well. The walk to the beach is a bit long and I’m not sure how you make it other than cutting through other properties. It’s a nice stretch of beach and migratory birds (skimmers) were there over thanksgiving. While linens were provided, towels were not, which I thought seemed odd for a large expensive place. Overall, the place was serviceable, but not fantastic (except the marsh views).
