Great House Overall but A Few Concerns
Pros: The house was very nice and was great for a large family. Common area was large and a lot of seating for everyone. Staying beachfront with kids was fantastic. The kids loved the bunk bed room and they spent hours in the pool after each afternoon at the beach.
Cons: There is minimal public parking in Holden Beach and the real estate company managing this property will not allow you any access (even parking) to this property until 4pm on arrival day. Therefore, I would not advise coming any earlier than 4pm. Also, the property is very far from anything other than the beach, therefore no need for a golf cart rental.
The house was surface level clean, but needed a deep clean. One shower had mildew buildup on the tile. There was some other basic cleaning that had not been done on arrival. There was a faint smell of cat urine in one bedroom. The house was also absent of some basics, for instance, the ice maker was inefficient and some kitchen supplies were absent.
Other properties on Holden we have stayed at in the past, were better stocked with greater attention to detail. Overall a great stay, however, would have liked more attention to detail given the amount we paid for the stay.
