Very Peaceful

Ocian View is perfect name

This 2 bedroom house was perfect for our beach stay. The view out the sliding glass doors and rear deck are awesome. Access to the beach is a very short walk. We fell in love with it as soon as we walked in.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great time with family. Thanks to the owners for putting up the curtains in the back bedroom. Could use one in the front room. Wall socket under window close to TV needs replacing. Entrance rug gets hung in the door and needs replacing. The house is old, but you can't beat the view. Will be back next year.

Perfect little cottage!

We loved our stay! It’s a cozy little cottage with the best view of the ocean. It’s stocked with everything you could need & was very clean. Our only complaint is that it needed a vacuum. We used the broom to sweep a couple times a day due to all the sand the kids brought in. Outside, there’s a path right next to the porch stairs to the ocean where we saw dolphins, caught lizards & also caught ghost crabs on the beach at night. This was the perfect vacation spot for our family of 6.

The shower off the back bedroom Is virtually unusable because you cannot adjust the water. The icemaker is not working properly and the refrigerator is showing lots of wear. We also had palmetto bugs this time We love this little house and do not want it to fall into disrepair.

Reviewer Comments: This home is absolutely the perfect spot for my wife and I to get away, relax, and enjoy the ocean front view while listening to the sounds of the waves. We love the fact that it's a one family home. Other vacation homes in the area are being built with several units that house many families, similar to a condo or apartment. Those places can get annoyingly loud with screaming kids, loud get-togethers, etc. That's just not our style. We prefer the cozy atmosphere and privacy this lovely home offers us. It's always very clean and well maintained. It comes equipped with everything we need to make our stay perfect for the week. And of course, the fact that it's close to many different restaurants, shops, and attractions is a big plus. We WILL be back next summer!

We have returned for the 2nd consecutive year and plan on coming back next year. The house is always clean and tidy, has all the amenities we need, and the fact that we have it all to ourselves for the week instead of having multiple families in different units helps keep things nice and quiet for us as we enjoy the amazing view of the ocean from the deck.The customer service provided by the realty company that rents it out kept us right on top of everything so we knew exactly what to expect before and during our stay.And the fact that it's so close to all the grocery shopping, beach stores, local attractions, and restaurants was a big selling point as well. I've already recommended Ocean View to a friend and would do so to anyone looking for a clean, quiet place to enjoy the perfect vacation!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1. My husband had to fix the hot water handle in Shower Bath2. Had to buy Ant spray.They were all over the Kitchen counter3. The coffee pot made coffee taste terible. You need to buy a new coffee pot4. The mattresses are not confortable at all. You need to but new ones5. The pots and pans are so old that we did not even use them6. The TV in living room did not have local channels. As a result we had to watch TV in the bedrooms We have been at the location in Ocean View for the past 10 years and NOTHING has been updated. As a result we will not be returning to this property again and will not refer anyone to it. My husband burns easily and having the covered portion of the porch there he was able to enjoy the deck also. I think the only things I would have found a bit more handy would be a small cordless vacuum to help clean the sand off the floor better and a couple of tall chairs on the deck so you see over the railing. Not deal-breakers by any means!

Bedspreads are to big for the size beds and lay on the floor all around beds. I have suggested to Garden City Realty it needs a vacuum and a swiffer wet jet. Floors were very gritty when we arrived.

Ocean side bedroom is hard to sleep late in because of the white blinds and no curtains. Could use some more closet space and hangers. A queen bed and bunkbeds in one of the bedrooms would be was so hard to get use to. Need a channel guide printed out. Even with these complaints, I would still stay there again.

Bad Start

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My check in day was on a Sunday. Usually I check in on Saturdays. I never received a text message that the house was ready for me to check in. I went to the GCR office and both doors were locked an no one was on site. I panicked. I saw a storage box on the front porch. There was nothing on the box to indicate that keys/paperwork were inside. Thankfully, I checked anyway and found inside the paperwork for the house I was renting. Went to the house and could not get in using the instructions provided. Called a telephone number provided for an emergency. Fortunately Dave answered and gave remotely opened the lock for me. He saved my day. I was greatly disappointed in GCR for not telling me no one would be at the office in case of a problem. I was disappointed that no one texted me that the house was ready.
