The Lighthouse Inn is a hidden gem. Beautiful, clean and bright throughout and located in a gorgeous, peaceful setting. Even though it may be a little out of the way, it was absolutely worth it. The restaurant was excellent.. and very reasonably for dinner with a wonderful buffet breakfast included. We really can't think of any complaints/suggestions. We would absolutely come back the next time we're in the area.

The owner and staff were so helpful as we arrived early from our cruise ship and they were very accommodating. Lots of nice general areas for us to relax as a group waiting for our rooms and in the evening after a wonderful dinner at the restaurant. Hot home baked bread at breakfast was a treat

This property was better than I thought it would be when we booked last minute on Expedia. Super clean, and we were greeted get a warm and friendly staff person in the evening. Breakfast was also excellent. Great option to stay at for the night before your flight versus the airport hotel options… super peaceful to look out on the ocean and the horses next door. Perfect finish to our trip.

Clean & spacious room. Instant coffee available in room and lobby. Very friendly staff, helped arrange a taxi for us to the airport. Lighthouse Inn restaurant nearby, food was great. Only downside of our stay was that the room was very warm/unable to adjust temp or get any airflow, and we were unable to sleep.

Ich habe bei zwei Island-Reisen mittlerweile vier Nächte hier verbracht und komme gerne wieder. Das Hotel liegt ideal für die erste und/oder letzte Nacht, weil er nur ca. 15 Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt ist. Dennoch ist die Gegend sehr ruhig; außer den vielen Vögeln, die sich hier tummeln, hört man kaum etwas. Die Zimmer verfügen über einen kleinen Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher und Mini-Kaffeemaschine und wirken mit der Holzverkleidung sehr gemütlich. Das Frühstück ist für isländische Verhältnisse recht reichhaltig, mit ein paar warmen Optionen wie Rührei, Speck und Bohnen. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass es das Frühstück erst ab 7:30 Uhr gibt, was für ein Hotel in Flughafennähe ziemlich spät ist. Jemand, der einen Flug vor 10 Uhr hat, wird vermutlich darauf verzichten müssen.
